Lin Hai helped Kingpin strike at The Hand, killed Alexandra, and absorbed power from the Dragon Bone, gaining a new Wood Dragon technique. He and his allies then lured the remaining Fingers into a vine-walled arena, where their battle was underway.

• Lin Hai won George’s approval during dinner with Gwen’s family and left after sharing a warm goodbye with Gwen.
• Lin Hai joined Kingpin, Matt, Elektra, Gwen, Peter, and Harry in attacking Madame Gao’s laundry factory, where he killed Alexandra and captured Madame Gao.
• Madame Gao agreed to reveal The Hand’s operations in exchange for Lin Hai’s promise to spare her, and Lin Hai and Kingpin planned to use her information against the remaining Fingers.
• Lin Hai entered the Stone Prison and absorbed energy from the Dragon Bone, gaining azure-gold Life Force and two dragon patterns in his dantian.
• Lin Hai demonstrated his new Wood Dragon technique at Kamar-Taj, then used his Life Energy to regrow part of Master Hamil’s hand before collapsing from exhaustion.
• Kingpin arranged to lure Murakami, Bakuto, and Sowande to the Dragon Bone sealing grounds, while Lin Hai scattered vine seeds and prepared an ambush with his allies.
• Lin Hai activated the seeds to trap the Hand’s group inside a wall of vines, and the two sides began fighting.
• Lin Hai clashed with Murakami as Kingpin fought Sowande and the others battled the Hand’s ninjas, with Gwen protecting and supporting her allies.

After defeating The Hand, Lin Hai prepared sandalwood bracelets for his friends and arranged for Tony Stark to receive one before his trip to Afghanistan. When Tony was captured by the Ten Rings, Lin Hai secretly watched over him and Yinsen as they built the Mark I, then intervened to keep Yinsen alive while Tony escaped.

• Kingpin killed Sowande, Matt and Peter subdued Bakuto, and Lin Hai killed Murakami before executing Bakuto as the battle at the Stone Prison ended.
• Lin Hai led the group into the Stone Prison to see the Dragon Bone, then sent Matt and Elektra through a Portal and returned with Peter and Harry to Los Angeles.
• Lin Hai and his friends made sandalwood bracelets and gave them to their families and allies, while Vanessa helped connect Pepper to Lin Hai so she could obtain one for Tony.
• Tony wore the bracelet, slept better, and confirmed its effects as Lin Hai located the Ten Rings base in Afghanistan and planted miniature cameras in its cave.
• Tony demonstrated the Jericho missile in Afghanistan, but the Ten Rings attacked his convoy and captured him to force him to build weapons.
• Tony and Yinsen built an arc reactor and the Mark I armor, then fought the Ten Rings after Yinsen drew the attackers away from their cave.
• Tony escaped the cave in the Mark I, while Lin Hai kept Yinsen alive and made him lose consciousness so Tony would leave without delaying to save him.
• Pepper asked Vanessa to help her reach Lin Hai, who agreed to search for Tony as the Mark I stood apparently unharmed at the cave entrance under gunfire.

Lin Hai saved Tony and Yinsen, then settled with his friends in New York as Tony shut down Stark Industries’ weapons division and faced Obadiah. After Obadiah died in the fight, Tony publicly identified himself as Iron Man, while Peter chose to keep his own identity secret.

• Tony escaped the cave in the damaged Mark I and survived its crash, while Lin Hai arranged for Yinsen to stay hidden at Kamar-Taj.
• Lin Hai explained to Yinsen why he needed to remain out of sight, then told Peter, Gwen, and Harry how he had observed and protected Tony during his captivity.
• Tony announced that Stark Industries would stop manufacturing weapons, and Lin Hai and his partners began buying shares as the company’s stock fell.
• Lin Hai graduated with Gwen, Peter, and Harry, moved into a Brooklyn Heights townhouse with them, and planned improvements to the house.
• Tony built and tested the Mark II, then learned that Stark Industries weapons were being used in Gulmira and confronted Obadiah about them.
• Tony attacked the militants in Gulmira, while Obadiah killed the Ten Rings members who knew of his weapons deal and built the Iron Monger armor from the Mark I wreckage.
• Lin Hai rescued Tony from his failing reactor, and Tony, Lin Hai, Gwen, Peter, and Harry joined the battle against Iron Monger, which ended when Obadiah fell into the Large Arc Reactor and died in the explosion.
• Tony rejected his prepared statement at a press conference and declared that he was Iron Man, while Peter decided to keep his Spider-Man identity secret.

Lin Hai and Gwen prepared magical masks and gathered allies for an approaching crisis while Tony faced pressure over Iron Man and his worsening palladium poisoning. The arc left Tony armored in his Mark V as Ivan Vanko attacked him at the Monaco Grand Prix.

• Lin Hai welcomed Coulson and later Nick Fury, who arranged to buy his beneficial plants for S.H.I.E.L.D. at an inflated price.
• Lin Hai destroyed the imprisoned Demon God Pioneer, and Hamil processed its remains into a pendant holding undead energy and a pouch of bone dust.
• Lin Hai celebrated the Huaxia New Year with Gwen, Peter, Mary Jane, and Harry, while Gwen advanced in magic and Lin Hai slowly adapted to the crystal’s death energy.
• Gwen designed masks for herself and Lin Hai, and Hamil crafted magical masks with shields and concealment fields, and Gwen later offered ordinary masks to Peter and Harry.
• Lin Hai warned his friends and allies about an impending New York crisis, helped reduce Tony’s palladium poisoning, and advised Kingpin to keep his family away from the Stark Industries Expo.
