Ch. 121Frost Network

Scott soothed Rachel while sensing Farouk’s presence, as battles in New York turned against the heroes when Phoebe Frost forcibly fused the Frost sisters’ psychic powers. Miles lost his connection to Sophie, and Esme’s powers began spiraling out of control aboard a jet approaching North America.

  • Scott comforted Rachel after she woke crying, then addressed Farouk, who had apparently remained in the study.
  • Lorna Dane broke free of Phoebe Frost’s control and helped Psypoint defeat the controlled Mutants, while Wanda rose again with growing scarlet power.
  • Aurora detected Bruce Banner in a Hydra transport, but Hulk broke free and attacked Steve before leaping away toward an unknown destination.
  • Psypoint confronted Phoebe, who revealed Maddy Frost and then explained that she planned to merge the Frost sisters’ powers as a vessel for the Shadow King.
  • Phoebe’s psychic wave overwhelmed the New York battlefield and severed Miles’s connection to Sophie.
  • Aboard a private jet, Miles realized his connection to Sophie had been cut, while Esme began convulsing as her powers spiraled out of control.

Ch. 122Astral Spirit

The Shadow King possessed Phoebe Frost and used the Frost Sisters’ psychic power to begin merging the Astral Plane with reality, trapping heroes in fabricated dreams. Miles descended into Lorna Dane’s body and, as Astral Spirit, awakened the connection between her magnetism and his electrical manipulation, preparing to face the Shadow King.

  • Miles failed to stop Esme’s psychic energy from being drained, then prepared a contingency while learning about Lorna Dane’s connection to his abilities.
  • Phoebe Frost absorbed her sisters’ psychic power, and the Shadow King possessed her to begin his plan to merge the Astral Plane with reality.
  • The Shadow King incapacitated Tony Stark, Wanda, Thor, and other heroes with dream illusions, while Miles confronted him in Lorna’s dream and learned his true objective.
  • Miles arranged for Lorna to awaken and planned to fight the Shadow King, then used Astral Descent to leave his body and take control of hers.
  • As the Shadow King overwhelmed them, Miles’s power rose through Lorna’s body, revealing that Magnetic Manipulation and Electrical Signal Manipulation were linked manifestations of the Electromagnetic Force.
  • Miles named his newly empowered form Astral Spirit.

Ch. 123Electricity and Magnetism

Miles, as Astral Spirit, pursued Shadow King while New York fell under his dream, then learned that Shadow King planned to replace the real world with the Astral Plane. After Shadow King escaped through Phoebe Frost and was killed in another body, Miles confronted Scott but chose not to kill him.

  • Astral Spirit defeated Hulk by sealing him inside a reshaped metal pyramid, then pursued Shadow King as his dream spread across New York.
  • Astral Spirit disintegrated Phoebe Frost's body after Shadow King abandoned it, but preserved Phoebe's consciousness in Miles's mental world.
  • Phoebe remembered that Shadow King's Morpheus plan was to bring the Astral Plane down to replace the real world, and warned that he had other contingencies.
  • Psylocke killed Shadow King's latest body in Scott's study, and Miles confronted Scott about his choices.
  • Miles refused to kill Scott and left after telling him that none of them wanted this for him, while newborn Rachel slept nearby.

Ch. 124Aftermath

After the Shadow King’s defeat, Pietro fled New York with Wanda, but Miles warned him that the Shadow King was parasitizing her mind. Pietro returned with Miles to the battlefield, where Miles began helping the awakened fighters as the threat of the Shadow King’s plans remained unresolved.

  • Pietro awoke, carried the unconscious Wanda away from the battlefield, and refused Tony Stark’s request to talk.
  • Hulk shattered his metal prison and attacked Steve Rogers while the awakened fighters and Iron Man dealt with the chaos in New York.
  • Miles contacted Pietro and told him the Shadow King was parasitizing Wanda’s mind, then invited him to Xavier Community College.
  • Miles told Psylocke that he intended to recruit or detain the Maximoff siblings and planned to take Cyclops to the Sorcerer Supreme if he did not answer by the next day.
  • Pietro returned to Miles’s warehouse with Wanda and asked him to help her recover and explain what he knew about the Shadow King.
  • Pietro brought Miles back to the battlefield in a wheelchair, where Miles’s psychic attack incapacitated the remaining enemies.

Ch. 125Cooperation

Miles and the other heroes subdued Hulk, while Miles explained Shadow King's multiverse-spanning Dream Kingdom plan to Thor. After the battle, Miles recruited Nick Fury to investigate Shadow King and uncover the remaining Morpheus plan, leaving them ready to work together.

  • Remy, Clint, and the others failed to stop Hulk, so Thor arrived and fought him until Miles's telepathy brought Bruce Banner back.
  • Bruce Banner recovered and asked Miles to help him communicate with Hulk, while Thor learned that his dream might have shown another world where his mother and Loki were alive.
  • Thor returned to Asgard, Quicksilver rejected Tony's offer of help, and Miles spoke with Steve, Kitty, Clint, and Natasha before leaving with Pietro.
  • Before dawn, Miles found Nick Fury recovering and asked him to investigate Shadow King, whose Morpheus plan was still underway.
  • Fury agreed to work with Miles, who offered Aurora's support and asked him to uncover Shadow King's lair and plan.

Ch. 126Beyond the Dream

Miles uncovered Alexander Pierce's Hydra ties, learned Shadow King had sought Scott's body and possibly the Phoenix Force, and tried to reach Wanda through her dream. Quicksilver entered Wanda's dream but encountered a terrifying Zombie Wanda and was killed, leaving Miles to ask what had happened.

  • Miles exposed Alexander Pierce as Hydra and left Fury to handle him while he pursued his own matters.
  • Miles learned from Scott that Shadow King had sought to use Scott's body and promised to revive Jean Grey in the White Hot Room.
  • Miles failed to enter Wanda's mind directly and sent Quicksilver into her dream to find Wanda's core consciousness.
  • Quicksilver found Wanda in a peaceful Sokovian town and tried to convince her that the world was a dream.
  • Wanda's dream turned into a ruined landscape filled with zombies, and Zombie Wanda killed Quicksilver before Miles could rescue him.

Ch. 127Zombie Universe

Miles learned that Wanda’s uncontrolled Chaos Magic had created a dream connected to a parallel Zombie Universe, where another Scarlet Witch was trying to merge with Wanda’s consciousness. With Wanda’s condition worsening, Miles and Pietro prepared to enter the danger together, while Miles entrusted his Psionic Magic manuscript to the Ancient One.

  • Pietro told Miles that Wanda’s dream had become a zombie apocalypse, and Miles suspected her uncontrolled Chaos Magic had turned it into a real Dream World.
  • Miles brought the unconscious Wanda to the New York Sanctum, where the Ancient One explained that a parallel Zombie Universe was seeping into Wanda’s dream and that another Scarlet Witch was trying to merge with her consciousness.
  • The Ancient One warned that Wanda’s consciousness was rejecting everyone except Pietro, so Pietro agreed to enter the dream while Miles planned to follow him through the Dream Kingdom.
  • Miles placed a strand of his mental consciousness in Pietro’s mind so he could track him and project himself into the Zombie Universe.
  • Miles gave the Ancient One his Psionic Magic manuscript to preserve at Kamar-Taj, then began arranging their plan to rescue Wanda.

Ch. 128Morpheus

Nick Fury began organizing a covert operation after S.H.I.E.L.D. disbanded, while Miles and the Ancient One confronted the Shadow King inside Morpheus. Miles was thrown out of the Dream Kingdom and woke in an unfamiliar psychiatric hospital.

  • Fury announced S.H.I.E.L.D.'s disbandment, then told Steve Rogers, Natasha, and Clint that he would hunt the Shadow King and Hank Pym from the shadows.
  • Fury learned from Aurora that Miles was preparing a special operation and that she planned to establish Essex Biotech Group.
  • Quicksilver explored Wanda's dream and discovered that their dead parents appeared to be alive there.
  • Miles entered Morpheus, where the Ancient One attacked the Shadow King and purified the part of him residing in the Dream Kingdom.
  • The Shadow King hurled Miles through a wall into an unknown void, and Miles later woke in Moira MacTaggert Psychiatric Hospital beside a corpse.

Ch. 129David Haller

Miles searched the Moira MacTaggert Psychiatric Hospital, where every corpse wore a wristband identifying them as David Haller, while Shadow King pursued and attacked him. After discovering that the asylum was David’s mental world and that they were brothers, Miles took on David’s identity as Legion and confronted Shadow King.

  • Miles found several corpses with wristbands bearing the name David Haller and suspected the hospital was a dangerous dream or cosmic dimension.
  • Shadow King transformed Miles’s Phoenix Energy into insects and began corrupting his body, but a sudden hole in the floor dropped Miles into a basement.
  • Miles collected David Haller wristbands, heard voices identifying him as David, and learned from one voice that they were brothers.
  • Miles returned to the ward and realized Shadow King had invaded David’s mental world and killed the many versions of David represented by the corpses.
  • Miles’s wristband changed to read David Charles Haller, and he transformed before declaring, "I am... Legion."

Ch. 130Legion

Miles defeated the Shadow King inside David Haller’s mental world by using David’s identity and personality-division ability to overwrite him, creating a new David Haller. David explained how his former primary personality destroyed his world and revealed that his real-world body was dead, then sent Miles back to the Astral Plane before disappearing.

  • Miles and the Shadow King fought by repeatedly warping each other and the mental world, while the Shadow King proposed that they share David’s power.
  • Miles refused the offer and summoned countless versions of David Haller, using their identity markers to overwhelm and rewrite the Shadow King into a new David.
  • The newly restored David and Miles relaxed in a lounge, where David explained that his former primary personality had tried to remake the universe, destroyed it, and died by suicide.
  • David told Miles that his real-world body was dead and that he did not know where the Shadow King had hidden it.
  • David opened a doorway for Miles to return to the Astral Plane, then faded away as Miles said goodbye.

Ch. 131Zombie World

Miles entered the Zombie Universe in the body of a zombie and struggled to keep his sanity while investigating the world and encountering Lily Williams, Kate Bishop, and Kamala Khan. As a zombie Hawkeye attacked him with an explosive arrow, the Shadow King’s experiment also created Proteus from David Haller’s remains.

  • Miles told The Ancient One that he had met his dead brother, David Haller, then entered the darkness where Pietro’s mental presence was hiding.
  • The Shadow King revealed that Miles had helped free David’s consciousness and used David’s remains and the Mind Scepter to create Proteus, a reality-distorting energy life-form.
  • Miles awoke in the Zombie Universe in the body of Miles Zero, used his power to charge a phone, and learned that the Avengers had been infected during the outbreak five years earlier.
  • After a Quinjet crashed in New York, Miles invaded Friday’s systems and protected himself from Lily Williams, Kate Bishop, and Kamala Khan, then overwhelmed the three girls with his psychic power.
  • Zombie Hawkeye, Clint Barton, attacked Miles from a nearby building with an explosive arrow, causing a blast.

Ch. 132Virus Origins

Miles struggled against his hunger, used Lily Williams’s experimental cure to suppress it, and uncovered the Zombie Virus’s origins through Hawkeye’s memories. After Miles and the others left to seek a better treatment, Zombie Okoye led a silent army in pursuit of the Avengers.

  • Miles nearly attacked Kate Bishop and the others under the Zombie Virus’s influence, but Lily Williams stopped him by revealing her experimental cure.
  • The cure temporarily suppressed Miles’s hunger, and he agreed to ensure the group’s safety while they helped him improve it.
  • Miles recovered a S.H.I.E.L.D. signal transmitter from the Quinjet pilot and discovered that he could control Friday and summon Zombie Hawkeye.
  • Miles read Hawkeye’s memories and learned that Hank Pym had spread the Zombie Virus after becoming infected and attacking the Avengers.
  • Miles briefly restored Hawkeye’s awareness and then followed Kate, Lily, and Kamala toward their home and laboratory to seek a way to suppress the virus.
  • Zombie Okoye gathered a silent zombie army around the Quinjet wreckage and ordered them to pursue the Avengers.

Ch. 133Departure

Miles and the others left Lily Williams’s base to investigate a S.H.I.E.L.D. communicator and find a way to stop the Zombie Virus. Their journey led them into a battle between Zombie Captain Marvel and an Eternal named Ikaris, who urged Miles to find Phastos in Chicago before charging Captain Marvel.

  • Miles identified the Zombie Virus as Quantum Contamination and injected Clint Barton with Lily Williams’s antidote.
  • Kate Bishop convinced the group to take the communicator to a S.H.I.E.L.D. base in Ohio, and Miles agreed to go with them.
  • Miles warned Kate that the communicator might not help and said a terrifying person could be hiding in the world, but he withheld further details.
  • While traveling in Lily’s vehicle, Uhura, the group found a vast gouge through the mountains and drove toward it.
  • Miles sensed a battle in the storm clouds and recognized one combatant as Zombie Captain Marvel; the other introduced himself as Ikaris and told Miles to find Phastos in Chicago.
  • Ikaris warned Miles to flee, then transformed into a golden light and charged Zombie Captain Marvel.

Ch. 134A Warrior's Final Resting Place

Miles and Zombie Hawkeye helped Ikaris battle Zombie Captain Marvel, using psychic attacks and an antidote arrow to briefly restore her awareness. Realizing the cure could not save her, Captain Marvel asked Ikaris to kill her, and Miles collapsed from exhaustion after she died.

  • Miles controlled the zombies to open a path for the Uhura, then used Phoenix Telekinesis to protect it from Captain Marvel's attack.
  • Miles left the vehicle to face Captain Marvel while Zombie Hawkeye stayed behind, and the two joined Ikaris in fighting her.
  • Miles repeatedly disrupted Captain Marvel with Psychic Blasts, allowing Ikaris to gain the advantage in battle.
  • Zombie Hawkeye shot Captain Marvel with an antidote arrow, briefly restoring her awareness, but she told Miles the virus could not be cured.
  • Captain Marvel asked Ikaris to kill her, and he destroyed her head with his eye beams.
  • Miles collapsed after Captain Marvel died, telling Ikaris that he had overdrawn his mental strength.

Ch. 135Avengers: Crisis of Two Earths

Miles Zero took control of the original Miles’s body in Wanda’s Dream World and joined Quicksilver to stop the Zombie Virus from spreading at the Golden Gate Bridge. After they captured Zombie Ant-Man, Zombie Wasp infected Miles Zero, who transmitted research data to Tony Stark and sealed his consciousness as the Avengers realized the danger.

  • Miles Zero appeared in the original Miles’s mind during algebra class, then took control of his body and had Quicksilver bring him to San Francisco as the Zombie Virus spread toward the Golden Gate Bridge.
  • Miles Zero warned Quicksilver that Zombie Ant-Man could infect the Avengers and explained that events from the Zombie World were replaying in Wanda’s Dream World.
  • Quicksilver captured the tiny Zombie Ant-Man as the Avengers arrived, and Miles Zero used his psychic power to immobilize him.
  • Zombie Wasp bit Miles Zero, and Quicksilver and the Avengers subdued her after she reverted to normal size.
  • Miles Zero sent Tony Stark the Zombie Virus research data, sealed his consciousness, and collapsed as Iron Man warned the others not to touch him.

Ch. 136Celestial's Decree

Miles learned that Celestial Arishem had ordered Ikaris to abandon Earth, but persuaded him to help the survivors before leaving. They traveled to find Phastos, whose emergency recording revealed that the Zombie Virus was a Quantum Realm contamination and that he had been infected while studying it.

  • Miles and Zombie Hawkeye found Ikaris burying Ajak, the slain Prime of the Eternals.
  • Ajak’s golden sphere entered Ikaris, and Arishem ordered him to gather the surviving Eternals and leave Earth because the planet was destined for destruction.
  • Miles asked Ikaris to help humanity, and Ikaris agreed to one task before departing; he refused to fight the Scarlet Witch but agreed to take Miles and Hawkeye to Phastos.
  • In Chicago, Miles, Hawkeye, and Ikaris triggered Phastos’s emergency holographic message at his abandoned home.
  • Phastos revealed that the virus was a Quantum Realm conceptual contamination, that his experiment had caused it to mutate and infect him, and that reactivating the Domo could save the world.

Ch. 137Domo

Miles investigated Phastos’s laboratory aboard the Domo and used his mind as a supercomputer to begin decoding Eternal technology. Meanwhile, the Avengers prepared to fight the zombie virus, but the Domo headed toward New York.

  • Ikaris entered the Domo with Miles and Zombie Hawkeye, captured zombie Makkari, and took them to the laboratory to find Phastos.
  • Miles discovered Phastos’s severed head in a jar and his dismantled body on an experimental table, while Ikaris left to search for the other Eternals.
  • After Ikaris departed, Miles began analyzing Phastos’s body and used the Spark of the Heart to turn his brain into a supercomputer.
  • In Wanda’s Dream World, Tony Stark briefed the Avengers on the zombie virus and arranged suppressants and protective suits before they planned an operation.
  • Friday showed the Avengers that the Domo was traveling across the ocean toward New York, and Tony wondered what it was.

Ch. 138Scarlet

Ikaris discovered that Thena and Gilgamesh had become zombies and was ambushed by Wanda, who revealed that she had manipulated Phastos’s virus research. In the Tomo, Miles used Phastos’s Energy Core to strengthen his abilities and learned the virus may have been deliberately made to evolve, leaving him to seek help from another world to complete Dawnlight.

  • Ikaris found Zombie Thena and Zombie Gilgamesh in Australia and realized Phastos’s account of the virus did not add up.
  • Druid lured Ikaris to a canyon, where Sprite’s illusion concealed Zombie Druid and Wanda held Sersi captive; Wanda infected Ikaris and admitted she had helped mutate the virus.
  • Miles fashioned Energy Rings and armor from Phastos’s technology, using the Energy Core to greatly enhance his Psychic Arts and physical abilities.
  • Miles found Phastos’s research stored in the Energy Core and concluded that Dawnlight had been designed to catalyze the virus and that an outside force may have altered Phastos’s perception.
  • Miles decided to restart Dawnlight research and proposed seeking help from Tony Stark and Hank Pym in another world.

Ch. 139An Ominous Sign

Miles awakened as a zombie with mind-control powers, resisted his hunger, and sent Tony Stark the Dawnlight cure data before the Eternals zombies attacked Delta. In the Zombie World, Miles concluded that an unknown force—possibly Zombie Wanda—was disrupting his connection to the other world, so he prepared to gather allies and travel to New Asgard.

  • Miles woke restrained in a laboratory, used mind control to free himself, and fought his hunger after realizing he had become a zombie.
  • Tony Stark found Miles at Xavier High School, where Miles used his powers to disable Tony's armor when Tony threatened Madeleine; Miles later sent him the Dawnlight project and Zombie Virus data.
  • The Navy attacked Delta, prompting the spacecraft to open and release zombie Eternals who began destroying the human defenses.
  • In the Zombie World, Miles told Zombie Hawkeye that an unknown force had blocked his consciousness from reaching the other world, and he suspected Zombie Wanda was acting.
  • Miles chose to seek Thor in New Asgard, gave Zombie Hawkeye replica Eternals armor and secret arrows, and created the Staff of Phastos to assist with Dawnlight calculations.

Ch. 140New Asgard

Quicksilver left Sokovia for New York after learning the Avengers were under attack, while Wanda rejected the other Wanda’s plan to merge the worlds and tore apart the frozen moment. In Zombie World, Miles and his companions reached New Asgard seeking Thor and a way to contact the Nova Corps, and Valkyrie allowed them inside after Khonshu intervened.

  • Quicksilver heard the Avengers’ distress call and headed for New York, leaving his family and luggage behind.
  • Wanda refused to sacrifice her family for the worlds’ fusion and ripped apart the stopped world, restoring time.
  • Miles and Zombie Hawkeye arrived outside New Asgard, where they met Kamala, Lily, Shang-Chi, Blade Knight, Zemo, and Red Guardian.
  • Lily explained that the group needed a spacecraft to send a message to the Nova Corps because radioactive fallout had blocked communications.
  • Valkyrie initially rejected Zombie Hawkeye and the others, but she recognized Khonshu and let the group enter New Asgard.
  • Miles used his staff to disguise himself and Hawkeye, then told Valkyrie that he had come to find Thor and ask about Phastos’s divine artifact.
