Background / History

Master meets Ye Yu and Tang San at Nuoding Junior Soul Master Academy after examining their certificates. He recognizes that Ye Yu's Nine Spirit Black Tang is a powerful mutation rather than the presumed Black Tail Flower, and becomes intrigued by Ye Yu's unusual constitution and Innate Full Soul Power Level 30 15 16.

His own Martial Soul, Luos an Pao, is a malignant mutation. It left him unable to progress beyond Level 30, in contrast to Ye Yu's beneficial mutation 16 28. Despite initially rejecting Ye Yu's intention to absorb a thousand-year first Soul Ring, Master accepts that Ye Yu's physique may let him survive limits considered impossible for ordinary Soul Masters 17 18.

Master arranges Ye Yu's first Soul Ring hunt, calling in Flender as protection. He provides Tang San and Ye Yu with weapons for delivering final blows and gives Ye Yu the Twenty-Four Bridges Moonlight Night storage belt 25 27 28.

Later, he joins Shrek Academy and receives authority from Flender to direct its teaching. He emphasizes physical conditioning, teamwork, and collective responsibility in the students' training 91 93.

Personality

Master is analytical and theory-driven, seeking detailed measurements before judging Ye Yu's physical capabilities or Martial Soul potential 16 17. He is willing to revise his assumptions when confronted by exceptional evidence, acknowledging that many conventional theories do not apply to Ye Yu 93.

As an instructor, he is stern about discipline and basic needs alike. He insists that students must be properly fed during their developmental years, while also enforcing harsh group training in which the entire team shares responsibility for any member's failure 91 93.
