History
Conflict with Ye Yu
Spirit Hall becomes one of Ye Yu's primary enemies after his connection to the Twilight Black Dragon and his mother is revealed. When Ye Yu threatens the Pope's Palace, Bibi Dong and seven Titled Douluo are unable to stop the Source of Evil's overwhelming pressure. 202
Ye Yu subsequently destroys both the Pope's Palace and Spirit Hall in Spirit City. Spirit Hall's leadership does not retaliate because the manifested Twilight Black Dragon terrifies them. 204 Bibi Dong orders the city and its central buildings restored within a month. 206
Spirit Hall later issues a continent-wide bounty for Ye Yu, offering the rank of Elder and a Spirit Bone to anyone who captures him. The notice identifies him as a wielder of four External Soul Bones and a fighter capable of challenging stronger opponents. 227
Soul Hunting Operation
Spirit Hall prepares the Soul Hunting Operation to eliminate or subdue major sects, initially targeting the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect and the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan. Bibi Dong changes the order of attack out of caution over Ye Yu's presence and the Twilight Black Dragon. 258
The Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect evacuates in advance after acting on Ye Yu's warning, leaving only a small rear guard to deceive the attackers. Spirit Hall razes the abandoned city and sect compound, killing the remaining defenders. 292
During the assault on the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan, Ye Yu's arrival reverses the battle. His Twilight Domain incapacitates or kills thousands of Spirit Hall Soul Masters, while dragon-type Martial Souls are particularly suppressed by his power. 294 295 296
Recruitment and Retaliation
To replenish its losses, Spirit Hall forcibly absorbs the Lower Four Sects and three first-rate sects, promising that they will become the future Seven Great Sects while remaining subject to Spirit Hall's summons. 301
The plan collapses when Ye Yu intercepts six of the recruited sects and annihilates their thirty thousand Soul Masters, including fifteen Soul Douluo. 313 315 He then uses the Twilight Domain to destroy Spirit City and Spirit Hall for a second time. 316
The destruction of the affiliated sects damages Spirit Hall's reputation: first-rate sects later refuse recruitment, fearing Ye Yu and doubting Spirit Hall's ability to protect them. 328
Spirit Hall Empire
During Ye Yu's absence at Sea God Island, Spirit Hall reorganizes into the Spirit Hall Empire. It closes branches and main temples within the Heaven Dou and Star Luo territories, withdraws its Soul Masters, absorbs vassal states, and establishes a central territory separating the two empires. 493
After three years of development, the empire fields twenty thousand Spirit Masters under elder command and continues expanding against its rivals. 359
The empire is eventually defeated after Bibi Dong retreats to pursue godhood. Its army surrenders, Spirit City falls, and the Heaven Dou and Star Luo Empires divide its territory; the Spirit Hall Empire is stated to have ceased to exist. 381 407
