Background

Old Jack found Ye Yu as an infant with only a note bearing his name and raised him in Holy Soul Village. Ye Yu later learns that his mother, Ye Yuqing, died after giving birth to him; his father was initially unknown to him. This drives him to seek the truth behind his parents and become strong enough to confront those responsible. 2 12

Ye Yu's Martial Soul, the Nine Spirit Black Tang, is a mutation of the Nine Hearts Begonia. His abnormal physique is unrelated to this auxiliary Martial Soul and is later connected to his inheritance as the son of Hei Yu, the Twilight Black Dragon and Source of Evil. 7 12 204
