Background / History

Gu Yue is shown among the surviving Ten Great Beast Kings in the core region of the Star Dou Great Forest before arriving in Eastsea City in a human form alongside Zi Ji. Tang Li recognizes her as the Silver Dragon King and immediately assumes that her presence may become useful to his own cultivation. 37

Her existence is bound to Na’er: Gu Yue recognizes Tang Li as the person whose blessing aura prevented her from merging with Na’er. Under the terms of their wager, Gu Yue must make Tang Li abandon Na’er and choose her; only then will Na’er willingly merge with her. 46

Gu Yue initially approaches Tang Li at the East China Sea Spirit Pagoda under the pretense of curiosity. In truth, she is interested in the suppressive aura within him and believes his ability to transform Soul Beasts could help free her race from the Dragon God’s restrictions. 46 54

After seeking admission to Eastsea Academy, she spars with Tang Li and is accepted into Class Five. Her Silver Dragon Martial Soul is exposed during the match when Tang Li’s chains extract a silver dragon phantom from her body. 49 50 51
