Background

According to the mythology known by Tang Li, the Demon-Sealing Pot was forged by Fuxi and Nuwa when demons and monsters preyed upon early humanity. It was created to suppress non-human beings, refine them, and secure humanity’s rise. Later generations regarded it as an artifact capable of both creation and destruction. 2

The Pot Immortal, its previous master, had disappeared before Tang Li awakened the artifact. The pot then fused completely with Tang Li, granting him the highest authority over it in a state comparable to a weapon spirit. Tang Li’s low cultivation initially caused the artifact to conceal most of its own power. 2

Within Tang Li’s Spirit Sea, the pot became an autonomous safeguard. It intercepted and refined Tang San’s spiritual-control attempt before Tang Li could be possessed, then nearly refined Elder Ling’s Plane Will avatar as well. 4

Elder Ling later gave Tang Li a wisp of Fire of Chaos, a cosmic flame that provoked an unusually intense response from the Demon-Sealing Pot. Further flame exposure continued to temper Tang Li and gradually loosen the artifact’s seals. 5 18

The pot’s ability to transform Evil Monarch drew Gu Yue’s interest as a possible means of freeing Soul Beasts from the restriction preventing their godhood. Tang Li agreed to help pursue that goal on the condition that the Soul Beasts remain on the Douluo Plane and oppose the future arranged by the gods. 61

Appearance

The Demon-Sealing Pot is a gigantic cyan-gold vessel in Tang Li’s spiritual world and a solid miniature Tool Martial Soul when summoned. Its ancient bronze-like surface is worn smooth yet coldly lustrous, while pale-cyan ghostfire leaks continuously from beneath its sealed lid. 1

• Six slightly flared lotus-petal edges around its rim. 1
• Tightly fastened lid with a snarling beast-head knob holding a small copper ring in its mouth. 1
• Dense, tangled inscriptions resembling tadpoles or chains, binding simplified fierce-beast images across the vessel. 1
• Celestial patterns of the sun, moon, and other heavenly bodies appear when its eerie light passes over the inscriptions. 1
• Three vertical, bone-white, scale-covered ridges reinforce its body like a spine. 1
• Flat, square base covered in complex interwoven inscriptions. 1
• Rotates independently; its inscriptions flash gold and its copper ring emits a heavy chime with each full revolution. 1
• As Tang Li’s visualization improved, he began to discern ancient, primitive totems representing living creatures among its images, though he could not yet identify them. 53

Suppression and Autonomous Defense

The pot’s foundational power is overwhelming suppression against non-human entities, including Soul Beasts, spiritual bodies, demons, and monsters. 2

• Its aura frightened the century-old Evil Eye into accepting Tang Li’s spiritual imprint without resistance. 11
• It automatically swallowed Tang San’s invading divine-sense imprint and assimilated the remnant energy into cyan-gold power. 4
• Its chains can bind and attempt to refine intruding spiritual bodies within Tang Li’s Spirit Sea. 4
• It incapacitated an entire group of Wind Baboons, including their strongest members, before Lin Ye attacked. 21
• Its presence reduced the ten-thousand-year Dark Star Demonic Insect to immediate submission during Lin Ye’s Soul Spirit fusion. 20

The Demon-Sealing Pot can absorb, decompose, reconstruct, and refine matter or spiritual entities. Its refinement does not merely destroy targets; it can improve and remake them. 2 12

• The Evil Eye was refined into Evil Monarch, gaining red traces from Chaotic Residual Flame ashes and potential comparable to the ancient Evil Emperor. 12
• Evil Monarch’s former darkness and water attributes were converted into subsidiary aspects of spiritual power. 12
• The pot can use refined resources to strengthen and remake demonic creatures; Tang Li believes sufficient materials could produce a Chimera Fusion Beast. 12
• Energy absorbed in the Spirit Ascension Platform is purified into high-quality white energy suspected to be Immortal Spirit Qi. 22

• It possesses the ultimate potential to alter the rules of a world. 2
• After obtaining Immortal Spirit Qi, Tang Li can trigger large-scale attacks by drawing on the Pot World’s energy without consuming the qi itself. 26
• During his duel with Wu Zhangkong, the pot poured pure Pot World energy into Tang Li and a copied Heavenly Frost Sword. 42

Spiritual-Power Cultivation

Studying the pot’s inscriptions functions as a spiritual visualization method. 3

• Visualization strengthens Tang Li’s spiritual power, an essential requirement for fusing stronger Soul Spirits. 3
• Prolonged early use overwhelms Tang Li with dizziness, pallor, and severe spiritual exhaustion. 3
• Evil Monarch can visualize the pot using Tang Li’s spiritual power, allowing it to cultivate and reducing Tang Li’s personal burden. 12
• Tang Li ordered Evil Monarch to visualize the pot whenever idle, turning the Soul Spirit into a continuous spiritual-cultivation assistant. 12

Associated Soul Skills

The following Soul Skills are wielded by Tang Li after fusing with Evil Monarch.

• First Soul Skill: Ban — Imposes spiritual or soul-power-based prohibitions. It can weaken, restrain, curse, confine, or mentally impair targets; when used in reverse, it can enhance allies. Its strength rises with both Tang Li’s spiritual power and soul power. Tang Li later used its Word Spirit effect to declare that a strike would hit, enforcing the result through causality. 12 66
• Second Soul Skill: Refining — Manifests rune-covered chains that seal Soul Skills and extract a bound target’s Martial Soul. Tang Li can temporarily use the refined Martial Soul and its Soul Skills himself; targets whose cultivation does not greatly exceed his struggle to break free. Part of the skill remains inaccessible due to his current spiritual-power limit. It can also produce copies of a refined Martial Soul, though repeated inferior copies and prolonged use tax Tang Li’s spiritual power. 27 28 42 43

Core Imprint

Upon reaching soul power level thirty, Tang Li gained the ability to separate a core imprint from the pot. It grants its bearer a trace of divine might capable of subduing demons, fiends, and spirits. Tang Li could separate only one imprint at his then-current strength; giving it to Na’er left him pale and nearly collapsed. 31

• Tang Li — Current master. The pot fused fully with him upon awakening and recognizes him as its highest authority. 1 2
• Evil Monarch / Big Eyed — Tang Li’s first Soul Spirit, repeatedly refined and elevated by the pot from a century-old Evil Eye into a five-thousand-year Evil Eye Lord.
