Before everyone's eyes, Yang Yu cleared his throat and shouted, "Why are these green-skinned monsters so ugly? Fine, they're ugly, but why are they so weak too? All they know is how to gang up on people. And even when they gang up on us, they might not even beat us."
Although the Goblins could not understand Yang Yu's words, the moment they saw his arrogant, thoroughly punchable expression, they could no longer suppress their impulses. They sprang up one after another, grabbed their stone axes, and charged at Yang Yu.
"Come on, then! Hit me right here in the face!"
Yang Yu calmly raised his shield and drew his sword, gently giving instructions to Bai Jin behind him.
"Use Ice Spike first, then Dark Lightning Surge. I'll hold them back and draw their aggro."
"But Dark Lightning Surge doesn't distinguish between friend and foe. You'll get caught in it too."
"It's fine. Just do as I say!"
Yang Yu's steps toward the enemy were incredibly firm. Bai Jin could tell he was serious. No longer hesitating, she raised her staff and began chanting. A spell formation brimming with frost formed before her, and a Blizzard poured forth.
The biting wind instantly froze the Goblins' joints, slowing their movements. Seizing the opportunity, Yang Yu attacked back and forth with his shield and sword, herding the Goblins together and slamming Cleave after Cleave into their faces, dealing tons of AoE damage.
The chant for Dark Lightning Surge was complete. Bai Jin lightly bit her lip and raised her staff over her head. Black clouds that clashed horribly with the clear sky covered the heavens, and pitch-black lightning crashed down, exploding among the Goblins.
These Goblins ranged from levels 8 to 13. Their stats were not high, but their endurance was impressive. Even after taking Dark Lightning Surge, Blizzard, and several of Yang Yu's Cleaves, only a few had fallen.
Bathed in black lightning descending from the sky, Yang Yu calmly invested all his stat points into endurance. Feeling the numbness spread through his body as his HP bar dipped into the red, a faint smile appeared on his lips. Every Goblin's HP bar was already nearly empty.
"Sudden Killing Intent."
After taking 30% damage, awaken your killing intent and gain a 30% Haste bonus for 6 seconds. For every additional 20% damage taken, the speed bonus increases by 5% and the duration increases by 1 second.
The lower his HP, the stronger Sudden Killing Intent became. It was an incredible skill whether for finishing off weakened enemies or escaping.
Yang Yu's HP was now below 30%, granting him a 40% speed bonus for a full 8 seconds. Those 8 seconds were more than enough for him to finish off every Goblin before him.
Red light burst from his eyes, and Yang Yu became light as a swallow as he darted among the Goblins.
The Goblins had first been left reeling by the sudden lightning strikes, then slaughtered by Yang Yu as he fearlessly charged forward. Each of them began to feel fear.
These two were bad news. They had to hurry back and inform that lord. Only that lord could deal with them.
Quite a few Goblins turned and fled, but Yang Yu smashed his shield into their faces and swung his sword without mercy, transforming into a ruthless harvesting machine.
His movements contained not a single unnecessary motion. He dodged every attack he could avoid, took every attack he could not without hesitation, and even ran straight into skills head-on to reduce any margin for error.
"He doesn't look like an adventurer who only started out recently at all."
After repeatedly casting AoE skills, the frail Bai Jin's stamina plummeted. Yet she still raised her hand, doing her best to coordinate with Yang Yu's finishing blows. But Yang Yu moved so smoothly that she had the illusion that she was completely useless.
"Holy Radiance Piercing Lance."
Suddenly, a streak of light flashed across the sky. A holy white bird swept low overhead, flapping its wings and swallowing every Goblin before Yang Yu.
The area before him suddenly became empty, and Yang Yu stood dumbfounded.
Where the hell are my experience packs? They were all hopping around just a second ago, so why are they gone now? Not even scraps are left? Why did I suddenly become someone dancing on top of a grave?
It was common sense to deal with the fodder monsters first, then the elite monsters. Yang Yu had finally cleaned up all the fodder, leaving only the fresh, delectable elite monster. Just as he was about to savor it, someone inexplicably stole his monster.
Even more tragically, he realized his experience bar had not moved at all. After fighting for so long, he had ultimately worked for someone else for nothing.
Yang Yu furiously looked in the direction the attack had come from and saw four people strolling toward them.
Leading them was a handsome man with long golden hair. He held a silver-white lance and carried himself with great dignity. Sunlight filtering through the woods fell upon his exquisitely crafted, expensive armor, making it shine brilliantly.
Close behind him were a casually dressed man, a burly middle-aged man wielding an enormous hammer, and a delicate purple-haired girl.

Looking at the values displayed on the panels, Yang Yu had to admit he was jealous. Even if his character reached their levels without a single setback, his stats would definitely not compare to theirs.
Jealousy aside, Yang Yu thoroughly despised them for stealing monsters halfway through a fight.
"I'm Seka Mens, captain of the Silverwind Squad. You're safe now. With us here, no Goblin will be able to hurt you." Seka Mens walked up to Bai Jin and greeted her with a smile.
Bai Jin lowered her head in a fluster and did not say a word. She was the worst at dealing with men who shone so brightly. It felt as though every corner of her heart was about to be illuminated, yet remained unlit. She hated that feeling.
Seka Mens looked like he had done some great deed, making it impossible for Yang Yu to truly hate him. It was as if he were the protagonist of this world.
Forget it. It wasn't as though having an NPC steal my monsters was unheard of. They only acted because they thought we were in danger. They meant well but messed things up. There's no need to pick a fight with NPCs. I'll just consider myself unlucky this time!
Yang Yu had originally planned to casually thank them, return to rest up, and then start leveling again. However, before he could speak, Seka Mens's rebuke came one after another.
"You there, warrior. You're the captain of this party, right? Don't you know that when a party of only two encounters Goblins in such large groups, the best option is to run away? This place isn't far from town. If you ran there, plenty of adventurers would help you. Why did you insist on fighting? It was because you insisted on leading her into battle that you two nearly got wiped out."
Oh? Out of consideration for your good intentions gone wrong, I was ready to magnanimously let your theft of my experience slide, yet you want to argue with me?
Yang Yu narrowed his eyes. What he despised most was men who treated girls gently, then acted all fierce toward other men and slapped labels on them. That double standard was seriously something else.
It was time for a little debate.
