Li Qinwu outmaneuvered the Eldar, took their Webway map, and salvaged factories and weapons from the Crone World while recruiting a mechanical daemon. After exploring the Eldar Armory, the story shifted to T'au-controlled Sweet Star, where You He led human auxiliaries against supposed terrorists.

• Li Qinwu survived the Eldar betrayal, contaminated their Spirit Stones, and used the Psychic Crystal’s information to map Webway routes and repair the Solar Sails.
• Li Qinwu and Bruce Crocodile confronted Daemons and Dark Tech-Priests in an Eldar factory, then Li Qinwu hired Mechanical Big Crab as a transport squad leader.
• Li Qinwu tested Wraithbone armour, learned it required Psykers to maintain, and took Bruce Crocodile to explore the Crone World Armory.
• Li Qinwu recovered Eldar rifles, ammunition, Glimmer Shields, three Scorpion Tanks, and more weapons from the armory, though many overgrown tanks had petrified.
• Li Qinwu left the armory site to visit Sweet Star, where the T'au had secretly reshaped the planet while the Imperium still considered it loyal.

Li Qinwu negotiated with Sweet Star’s T'au rulers while preparing his fleet and covert operations. You He uncovered the planet’s Imperial history and began to realize what the T'au had concealed.

• You He led his soldiers into a storm-lashed forest, where fifty elderly resistance fighters killed nearly two hundred of his troops before he defeated them and recovered a Bolt Pistol.
• Li Qinwu learned how the T'au had taken over Sweet Star and massacred its resistance, then hid his fleet in an asteroid belt and began refitting the Fortune with Eldar Solar Sails.
• Shui Rou showed Li Qinwu Sweet Star’s farms, factories, and wastewater treatment system, then negotiated a deal involving sugar, Iron Lung technology, Factory blueprints, and a Protector-class Battleship.
• The Four Councils approved surrendering a warship to protect Sweet Star’s eight million residents, and Li Qinwu agreed to remain as a hostage during the exchange.
• Li Qinwu sent Genpei, Yamashita Maru, and Little Andrew to infiltrate a T'au bureau, where they uncovered the destruction of the resistance and identified You He as a potential ally.
• You He found a huge bullet at Peace Square and brought his Bolt Pistol to the boatman’s bedridden grandfather, who recognized it and described Sweet Star’s former loyalty to the Imperium and the T'au takeover.
• Grandpa Boatman told You He that the T'au had killed more than fifty million resistance members, and You He realized that the dying commissar he had fought had recognized his human face.

You He’s discovery of Sweet Star’s buried history led him to destroy the Planetary Computer, while Li Qinwu’s forces broke the T’au evacuation and began reclaiming the planet. After months of stalemated warfare, Li Qinwu summoned a Nether Knight in the Crone World Armory, but its awakened pilot fought back and forced him to call for backup.

• You He uncovered the mass grave of resistance fighters and learned from Genpei, Yamashita Maru, and Little Andrew that the Imperium planned to reclaim Sweet Star and might exterminate its inhabitants.
• You He took the USB drive to the Planetary Computer, but Flameburst Commander attacked him and revealed that he had used You He to destroy the resistance, and You He shot the computer and died declaring himself for the God-Emperor.
• Li Qinwu and the Imperial forces crippled the T’au evacuation, destroyed two fleeing warships, and forced the last warship into a running battle before returning to Sweet Star.
• Genpei and the Astartes seized a southern Hive City, and Li Qinwu established an Imperial Government that armed ten million PDF troops to fight the T’au.
• The Imperial PDF and T’au forces fought a costly six-month war, with the Imperium supplying weapons and armor as the human soldiers advanced north and dug in against T’au fortifications.
• Li Qinwu discovered a summoning array in the Crone World Armory and sang “Nightmoon Color Song” to summon a Nether Knight, intending to capture it for Troy.
• The Nether Knight awakened and fought Li Qinwu and Bruce Crocodile, and Bruce’s severed head destroyed its left arm, but the Knight remained standing, so Li Qinwu called for backup.

Li Qinwu defeated the Nether Knight with Luca’s Divine Knight, then explored the Eldar Hive City and clashed with Lucius over Lilith's Wedding Ring. After capturing Lucius, Li Qinwu sealed him in isolation and returned to the Fortune to report his victory and prepare a sacrifice.

• Li Qinwu summoned Luca in the Divine Knight, who purified the Fossil Zombies and defeated the Nether Knight while Li Qinwu and Bruce Crocodile drew off the Fossil Tanks.
• Li Qinwu took the Nether Knight for study, prepared it as a Psychic Knight for Troy, and entered the Eldar Hive City with Bruce Crocodile.
• Li Qinwu discovered Lucius and his Slaanesh Warriors trying to take Lilith's Wedding Ring, then fought the pursuing warband through the forest city.
• Lucius killed the Skin Terminator and Li Qinwu, while Bruce Crocodile swallowed the ring and fled before Lucius killed him too.
• Li Qinwu and Bruce Crocodile used their severed heads to strike Lucius with a combined psychic blast, leaving him helpless.
• Li Qinwu returned to the altar, pinned Lucius with Gravity Control, severed both his arms, and stripped away his armor and power pack.
• Li Qinwu chose life support over a Stasis Field and sealed Lucius in a dark, silent enclosure, where Lucius lost his sanity and begged Slaanesh for rescue.
• Li Qinwu returned to the Fortune, had an Astropath report Lucius's capture to Terra, and prepared to make a sacrifice at the Emperor Shrine.
