After the Eldar vessel escaped the Psychic Storm, the Seer’s Prophecy revealed a human invasion that destroyed her Craftworld and doomed its people’s souls to Slaanesh. The vision burned out her eyes and prophetic power, and she urged the crew to stop the future she had seen.

• The Eldar Seer failed to locate Li Qinwu or the vessel’s position through Prophecy amid the lingering Warp Storm.
• The Seer successfully foresaw human warships invading and overwhelming her Craftworld, despite the Eldar awakening their Constructs to fight back.
• The Seer saw Astartes, Knight Mechs, and a black Psychic Knight break the Craftworld’s defenses and capture its survivors.

The Eldar discovered that Li Qinwu had contaminated nearly all the Spirit Stones he traded for their Webway Route Map. The prophet’s vision of their Craftworld’s destruction and their plan to hunt Li Qinwu remained, but the Eldar had lost most of their payment and were left furious and dismayed.

• The prophet told the Eldar officers that her Prophecy showed humans bearing a black sword destroying their Craftworld, and she urged them to find and kill Li Qinwu.
• The Eldar officers planned to leave the Warp, warn their Craftworld, and organize a force to hunt Li Qinwu, while bringing the Spirit Stones home.
• The prophet recalled that she had not inspected the Spirit Stones carefully and ordered the officers to check the barrel.
• An Eldar officer split open the barrel, and the Eldar found that all but the thin top layer of Spirit Stones were blackish-red and contaminated by the Warp.

Li Qinwu discovered that the Eldar had sabotaged the Solar Sails and Wraithbone Plant, then used the Master Bonesinger Flute to repair the damage. After copying the Webway routes from the psychic crystal and destroying it, he left the Eldar with contaminated Spirit Stones and himself with a complete map.

• Li Qinwu used Isha's Kiss to restore Zeppelin and his butler's health, then regrew Saint Raiser's missing lower body, though the medicinal liquid became fouled.

• Li Qinwu and Bruce Crocodile explored the Factory, found no enemies in the first hall, and followed the only ventilated pipeline to another hall.
• Bruce Crocodile sensed an evil presence, so Li Qinwu and Bruce concealed themselves and approached the machinery ahead.

Li Qinwu watched helplessly as the Daemons stripped the Factory of its equipment while he and Bruce Crocodile hid near a Warp Portal. After Bruce sacrificed himself to destroy the portal, Li Qinwu attacked the surviving enemies to avenge him.

• Li Qinwu saw the Factory’s exploration progress rise to 59% as the Daemons removed its equipment, but feared attacking while the Warp Portal remained open.
• Li Qinwu blamed Bruce Crocodile for being too weak to stop the Daemons and demanded that he call his father for help.

• Mechanical Big Crab dragged Li Qinwu out and prepared to turn him into a girl, while Bruce Crocodile offered him a lipstick and pink dress.
• Li Qinwu asked the crab about time off, social insurance, and his boss, prompting him to complain about Wa Banxian’s loans and forced labor.

The Mechanical Crab quit Wa Banxian’s exploitative service after taking a job offer from the Macragge Hauling Company, but Wa Banxian refused to let him go. The Crab ended the chapter by lunging at Wa Banxian and trying to snip off his dick.

• After Li Qinwu left, the Mechanical Crab celebrated his contract with the Macragge Hauling Company as armed forces emerged through the repaired Portal.
• The Mechanical Crab rejected his former colleague’s warning, declared he had quit, and went through the Portal to Wa Banxian’s factory.
• The Mechanical Crab showed Wa Banxian his new contract and insisted that Guilliman was his new employer.

Wa Banxian punished Pang Hai by trapping his soul in machinery, but Pang Hai seized control of each machine and kept attacking workers. The chapter ended with Pang Hai’s soul running amok on a Lasrifle power-cell production line, clamping workers’ crotches.

• Pang Hai ambushed Wa Banxian with a giant crab, but Wa Banxian extracted Pang Hai’s soul and threatened to enslave it in a Daemon Engine.
• Wa Banxian put Pang Hai’s soul into a rock crusher, but Pang Hai took control of the machine and attacked him.

Li Qinwu ordered Radiation Sappers to clear the vegetation around an Eldar site, then left to handle business on Sweet Star. The planet, a prosperous sugar producer, had been fully colonized by the T'au, setting up another clash with their scattered expansion into Imperial territory.

• Li Qinwu planned to sell Plasma Engines and other cargo, then buy sugar on Sweet Star before returning to the Eldar Armory site.
• Li Qinwu ordered the Vault supervisor to station a hundred people and clear the vegetation without damaging Xenos structures.

• The T'au used a century of infiltration and cloned officials to take control of Sweet Star, then spent sixty years reshaping its economy, politics, and culture.
• Sweet Star's younger generation adopted T'au language and customs, while the Imperium continued to classify the planet as loyal because it still paid taxes.
