• Li Qinwu refused the bishop’s offer to become a Living Saint, accepted his noble title, and turned his investiture speech into a wine promotion.
• Li Qinwu prepared for the journey, delegated control of his gangs and private army, and flew alone toward the drifting Ork Battleship.
• Li Qinwu boarded the failing ship and fought through its Orks, learning that more than twenty thousand had fled toward Agricultural World 496B.
• Li Qinwu discovered a human Scimitar-class Frigate buried beneath the ship’s scrap and fought through the Orks to reach it.
• Li Qinwu mocked the Orks’ cowardice, weakening their Waaagh! Fields until their spores and newly growing Orks withered and the tribe turned on itself.

Li Qinwu forged alliances and weapons on Planet 496B, then joined Inquisitor Thraxol’s fleet after the planet’s crushing tax burden forced a change of course. Aboard the Staff of Authority, he settled in and encountered a Wild Daemon fused with the ship.

• Li Qinwu, Father Anthony, and Norn divided the Adamantium, and Norn forged them equipment before Li Qinwu upgraded the Emperor Shrine with sacred relics.
• As the fighting on Planet 496B subsided, Li Qinwu founded Second Hive City and said goodbye to Norn, who left to rejoin his Chapter.
• Li Qinwu and Silent One opened a Warp portal and burned summoned Daemons, while the Emperor Shrine revealed a fragment of the True One Armor among their remains.
• Li Qinwu defeated the Pale Baron in a duel and helped Miss Nightingale become the Campela Family heir, but Inquisitor Thraxol’s tax fleet arrived soon afterward.
• Governor Leonardo revealed the devastation the taxes would bring and tried to secure relief by offering Li Qinwu to Thraxol, who sentenced Leonardo to die by white phosphorus.

Li Qinwu recruited troops and ships, purged Genestealers from Crossroads, and traveled to Glory Star to seek support from High King Buddas. After learning the king was dead, he joined Luca’s campaign against the Chaos forces and pursued the wounded warlord Talon.

• Li Qinwu kept Daemon casualties low aboard Thraxol’s warship, then agreed to recruit troops from Planet 495 and secured ships, transports, and 400,000 Astra Militarum troops.
• Li Qinwu used the Inquisitor’s Rosette to obtain two Scimitar Frigates and agreed to purge Genestealers from the asteroid station in exchange for a Fury Interceptor.
• Li Qinwu led the purge across the station, killed thousands of Genestealers, and captured their leader alive for Tech-Sage Rob.
• Li Qinwu recruited one hundred fighter pilots before volunteering to travel ahead to Glory Star in a Photon Dart and negotiate with High King Buddas.
• Li Qinwu arrived amid a battle between Khorne’s warriors and other forces, escaped their pursuit, and met the Freeblade Luca, who told him High King Buddas had died.

Li Qinwu and Luca fought Khorne’s forces on Glory Star, helping the civilians escape before the Inquisitor’s fleet purged the planet. After Luca’s death, Li Qinwu gathered the surviving Knights and prepared to leave, then learned that Agricultural World 496B was being stripped to pay its debts and that a wrecked frigate might be for sale.

• Li Qinwu killed the Chaos Warlord in Baron City, resisted Khorne’s attempt to corrupt him, and discovered that the God-Emperor’s Blessing erased his Corruption.
• Luca and Li Qinwu joined the fight to protect civilians fleeing across the Golden Bridge, while Luca challenged Frais and the Chaos army attacked the Loyalist line.
• Li Qinwu helped Luca defeat Frais by channeling golden Psychic Flame into Luca’s Chainsword, but Luca died inside his ruined Knight Mech after the evacuees escaped.
• Li Qinwu revived aboard the Inquisitor’s warship, and the fleet bombarded Royal Court Mountain until it destroyed the ritual array and broke Khorne’s hold on Glory Star.
• Li Qinwu salvaged Knight Mechs, founded the Glory Regiment with Les as its commander, and recovered his equipment after capturing the noseless Chaos Warlord.
