Motian Xing was once the Sect Master of the Blood Demon Sect, a Demon Sect master whose name shook the world. During the era of the ancient unified empire, he rampaged across the continent before being sealed beneath what later became the Azure Moon Sect. 198 202 205

The Azure Moon Sect’s seal was already failing and would have broken within roughly a century. Su Yueli’s battle with Cangming damaged the situation around the sect ruins and allowed Motian Xing to escape about a century earlier than expected. 203 205

After escaping, Motian Xing approached the crippled Shen Huai’an. He offered to restore Shen’s Heavenly Bone, cultivation, and ability to avenge the destruction of the Azure Moon Sect, then ultimately seized Shen’s body when Shen could not resist his overwhelmingly stronger soul. 198 203

His earlier rampage was remembered as a catastrophe so devastating that the original empire ultimately split into eight dynasties. Great Zhao Palace Infiltration

Using Shen Huai’an’s body, Motian Xing hides beneath the Great Zhao Imperial Palace and remotely controls the emperor. He intends to launch a war against Great Yan, harvest the resulting blood-baleful aura, and accelerate the formation of the Heavenly Bone. 209 210

Skyspine Wasteland Pursuit

When more than a dozen Fourteenth Realm cultivators arrive to kill him, he activates the formation to turn the expedition into a blood sacrifice. 225 229 231

Su Yueli remains largely unaffected by the formation’s suppression and attacks him with Intent Ash Fist, introducing a lifespan-consuming threat to his plan. 231

Motian Xing evades her through demonic illusions and replenishes his declining vitality by absorbing the dead. Mo Bufan’s attempt to divine an escape ends in his death, while Zhao Xuankong sacrifices himself to bind Motian Xing. After suppressing Shen Huai’an’s resistance, Motian Xing commands his centuries-old network to spread the claim that Su Yueli orchestrated Yin Mountain. The surviving factions of Great Xun, Great Gan, and Great Chu form a Demon-Extermination Alliance and demand that Great Li surrender her. 235 236

Meanwhile, Motian Xing hides in the Sunset Burial Immortal Pit, using its ancient yin baleful intent to repair his soul. He seeks to exploit the political instability left by the patriarchs’ deaths, waiting for a continent-wide war whose resentment and death qi could restore him and enable a Fifteenth Realm breakthrough. 238

Demon Seeds and the Expanding War

The massacre at Azure Stone City becomes a source of both political conflict and cultivation resources. Han Yu’s investigation discovers completely drained corpses, destroyed perpetrator souls, and a faint demonic trace. Su Yueli later identifies demon seeds in the collected remains and confirms that Motian Xing is harvesting the victims’ life force and death energy. 242 246

Motian Xing combines genuine attacks, false reports, and threats to populated areas to divide Su Yueli’s attention. Evidence recovered from demonic cultivators also raises uncertainty over Shen Huai’an’s survival, which Motian Xing exploits to complicate her pursuit. 258 260 261 263

Shen briefly regains control, kills demonic subordinates, and leaves a blood-written clue pointing toward the Sunset Immortal-Burial Pit. Su Yueli arrives less than half a day after Motian Xing leaves and destroys his bone collection platform, only to discover that his Divine Soul has become the true guiding formation. Su Yueli eventually exposes much of the hidden network, destroying twenty-seven sites and capturing more than a thousand demonic cultivators. The original deceptions become public, but the dynasties continue fighting over occupied cities, resources, revenge, and fear of retreat, allowing Motian Xing’s supply of death energy to continue. 270 271

Red Sand Plain Confrontation

At Red Sand Plain, Motian Xing openly absorbs the deaths and resentment generated by Great Xun and Great Qian’s armies. He admits to exploiting Shen’s memories and Su Yueli’s desire to save others, then uses the inseparability of his soul and Shen’s as protection against her attacks. 271

When Su Yueli briefly stops the battle, his agents attack formations, wounded camps, prisoner camps, and supply convoys to reignite it. He forces her to block an attack capable of killing a hundred thousand people, then reaches the death-energy vortex and draws on souls and resentment from across the continent. 272

Su Yueli finally attacks decisively and breaks his control over hundreds of thousands of souls. She pursues him, breaks his arm, and nearly seals his Divine Soul, but Shen briefly emerges to warn her of demon seeds planted in three southeastern cities. Su Yueli abandons the pursuit to save them, and Motian Xing further activates the seeds before fleeing. 273 274 275

Appointed Showdown and Fifteenth Realm Breakthrough

Motian Xing projects a challenge across the continent, announcing a duel with Su Yueli at the borderland of the Eight Dynasties seven days later. His real objective is to gather millions of mutually suspicious cultivators in one place, where fear, greed, and old grievances can ignite another mass battle. 276 277

At the appointed battlefield, misinformation and provocations cause the armies to clash. Motian Xing repeatedly attacks crowded formations and evacuation routes rather than sustaining a direct fight with Su Yueli, forcing her to protect the people below. Han Yu and the People’s Protection Corps organize evacuation, but eight black pillars rise and seal the wasteland. 280 281

The formation absorbs the armies’ attacks, spiritual power, blood, fear, and the energy of the dead. Su Yueli damages its core and Motian Xing’s Divine Soul, briefly allowing Shen to reveal that the eight nodes must be destroyed. Motian Xing suppresses him and leaves Little Black unconscious with a demon-soul attack. Newly empowered, Motian Xing manipulates natural laws and regenerates through the continent’s death energy. Su Yueli resists and lands attacks, but freeing the souls sustaining him leaves her exposed. He turns their accumulated resentment against her consciousness, then pins her to the ground with a black spear and seals most of her meridians. 283

Su Yueli continues resisting through lifespan-burning martial attacks. Motian Xing acknowledges her as an unprecedented mortal martial artist, but his towering Demon Avatar remains the dominant threat until her Intent Ash projection penetrates its law-based defenses and strikes his true body. 284 286

In the final exchange, Su Yueli burns ten thousand years of lifespan to unleash Ultimate Dao Five Forms combined—Intent Ash. Motian Xing responds by detonating the continent’s earth veins, and their clash devastates a third of the continent. Her punch exhausts his remaining lifespan, leaving him barely alive. She rejects his pleas, breaks both arms, and destroys his heart and Divine Soul with a final punch. 287

The apparent conclusion is disrupted when his corpse rises despite possessing no detectable life or law energy.
