History
Doehring’s soul resides in the Coiling Dragon Ring and speaks privately with Linley, offering magical advice that others cannot hear 2 9. An experienced earth magus and master stone sculptor, he recognizes Linley’s unusual state while Linley carves in the mountains. He also notices Arnold entering enlightenment and later identifies the unusual properties of Arnold’s modified armor 18 19.
When six Radiant Church executors trap Linley in a combined formation, Doehring burns nearly all of his soul to cast Meteorite Descent. He directs Linley to use an eightfold Greater Gravity Spell at the same moment, breaking the formation. The Coiling Dragon Ring preserves the remaining one percent of Doehring’s soul, but he falls into a deep slumber 29.
A Soul Golden Pearl later restores Doehring’s soul enough for him to wake 109. He continues cultivating the Earth Law in his soul state until the Laws shape a divine body for him. He subsequently appears with Linley’s companions at Dragonblood Castle 140 151 268.
