As the communicator on the desk received a call, Ryan, who had been sitting in his chair staring at the sun and contemplating life, emerged from his thoughts and picked it up.
"I've made my decision. Where are you now?"

In his view, there was no point in hiding his contact with this world's nations from Ryan. Since Ryan had brought him here and allowed him to move freely, Ryan must have expected it already. Trying to conceal it would only seem small-minded.
