After Ryan finished speaking, Whitebeard turned his head in surprise.

That answer had been beyond his expectations. He had assumed that Ryan was so determined to destroy the current government largely because he wanted to become the leader of the new one.

Yet now, Ryan said that Nazarick had given up those rights. It made Whitebeard wonder what Ryan's true objective really was.

His crescent-shaped mustache trembled twice. After pondering for a moment, Whitebeard said, "I can't give you a definite answer right now. And are you so sure we'll win? The World Government has ruled the seas for eight hundred years. Even I can't know how many hidden measures they have."

Ryan chuckled and turned to Whitebeard. "That doesn't sound like something an emperor of the sea would say. You should be telling me that victory is bound to be ours!"

After saying that in a joking tone, he saw Whitebeard looking at him as though he were an idiot. Ryan coughed twice and turned serious. "Don't worry. The World Government has contingencies, and so do we. Both the Revolutionary Army and Nazarick are far stronger than we've revealed. We will never fail against a government that has already rotted away."

After speaking, he watched Whitebeard sink into thought, rose from his stone seat, and said goodbye. "I've conveyed my proposal. You can make your final decision after we defeat the current government. I still have matters to deal with, so I'll be leaving first."

As he spoke, he raised a hand and summoned a Portal. Before stepping inside, he turned back and said, "Oh, right. Thank you for your hospitality!"

Ryan wore a smile, but just as he was about to enter the Portal, Whitebeard called out to stop him, making him pause.
