The O'Brien Empire's testing lasted a week. They tested people from across the continent regardless of nation or faction, and new students were only admitted after all testing had concluded. The days of testing quickly passed. Wharton took his admission certificate to O'Brien Warrior Academy, completed the procedures under the guidance of an older student, and was assigned a dormitory. He looked at his door number: 2008.
The O'Brien Empire was simply too vast. Wharton and Butler Hiri searched for a long time before finding Dormitory 2008. Just as Wharton was about to take out his key and open the door, it opened from within. He realized that one of his dormmates had already arrived. A youth of eleven or twelve stepped out, with golden hair, a handsome face always wearing a smile, and a set of golden aristocratic clothes. One look was enough to tell that he had been born into a fine noble family.
"You're new, right? Come in quickly. I just arrived and was planning to head out, but now that you're here, we can go together." He hurriedly helped Wharton carry all his things into the dormitory and warmly picked out a bed for him.
After Butler Hiri gave Wharton a few instructions, he returned to the small rented house he had just leased in the imperial capital. He intended to stay there until Wharton graduated. Housing in the capital was expensive, so he could only rent a small room for the time being.
"Hello, I'm Wharton Baruch. I'm from the Holy Alliance." After Butler Hiri left, Wharton smiled at the youth beside him.
"Hello, I'm Bulen Silvio. I'm from the Yulan Empire." The two then chatted in the dormitory as they waited for their other roommates.
After waiting for nearly two hours, the dormitory door opened from outside, and two boys, one tall and one short, appeared before them.
To Wharton and Bulen's surprise, the latter two were actually brothers. Wharton and Bulen helped them make their beds, and once they were done, everyone naturally introduced themselves again.
"Hello, I'm Wharton Baruch. I'm from the Holy Alliance."
"Hello, I'm Bulen Silvio. I'm from the Yulan Empire."
Of the two brothers, the younger one was clearly the outgoing sort. He eagerly spoke first. "Hello, I'm Kate Bolei, and the one beside me is my older brother, Kane Bolei."
"Hello!"
Kane spoke from beside him as well.
Wharton had always felt that the Bole clan sounded familiar, but he could not recall why at the moment.
"You're from the Bole clan? Could you be disciples of the Tiger-Striped Warrior Clan?" Wharton asked uncertainly.
"Yes. How did you know?" Kane asked, unable to conceal the surprise on his face.
"I'm from the Dragonblood Warrior Baruch clan. Since we're both Ultimate Warrior Clans, our clan genealogy contains records of the Tiger-Striped Clan," Wharton explained.
Bulen was extremely shocked. The Ultimate Warriors were known throughout the entire Yulan Mainland. To warriors, their influence was in no way inferior to that of the War God or the High Priest. After all, the War God and High Priest belonged to legend, while the Ultimate Warriors had forged their reputations through battle after battle. He could not suppress the excitement in his heart.
"You two are the Dragonblood Warrior and Tiger-Striped Warrior among the Four Ultimate Warriors of Yulan Mainland history?" Bulen asked again for confirmation.
"Yes, but our clans have already declined beyond recognition. We no longer possess the glory of the past," the three said with sighs, confirming Bulen's words.
"Hahaha! I actually have three Ultimate Warriors as roommates! This is probably the most important meeting in O'Brien's history!" Bulen laughed loudly.
"Let's get to know the academy properly today. Tonight, my treat! Hahaha." Bulen slapped his chest as he spoke.
From now on, the four brothers of Dormitory 2008 will travel the Yulan Mainland together. Having two Ultimate Warriors as brothers will be such an honor. Even when I return to the Yulan Empire, those people will envy me for a long time. Looks like I need to work hard. I heard Ultimate Warriors can fight opponents above their level and are completely invincible among those of the same rank. Otherwise, if you leave me far behind, how embarrassing would that be?
"By the way, how old are you all? Since we'll be living together from now on, we're brothers. Tell us your ages so we can decide who's older and who's younger," Bulen said.
"I'm eight this year, and Wharton is seven. What about you, Kane?" he said first, giving Wharton's age as well.
"I'm nine, and my younger brother is seven," Kane said.
"Then Kane will be the eldest from now on. I'll be second, Wharton third, and Kate fourth. From now on, we're the four brothers of Dormitory 2008." Bulen clearly gave the others no chance to interrupt.
They were simply ranking themselves by age, so no one objected, and they all gladly accepted.
Since Bulen had arrived earlier and was more familiar with the academy, he led them to the student cafeteria inside the academy. As they ate, they listened to Bulen introduce the academy's situation.
"Most students at O'Brien Warrior Academy stay here for decades, so boys assigned to the same dormitory generally become very close brothers after graduation."
By the end of the meal, the four had become much closer. The tiny bit of wariness between them had completely vanished over that meal.
