Background / History

Lin Yuan transmigrates into the Peerless Tang Sect era after apparently dying at age twenty-five. A system reduces him to a fifteen-year-old body and grants him five choices: the Sun Moon Empire background, Hades Sword aptitude, Heavenly Stem Qilin martial soul, Qilin Legs, and Gu Yuena as his Rank 98 protector 1.

He awakens as the younger brother of the recently deceased Lin Xi, a Sun Moon Empire Soul Mentor. Although he initially regards the identity as an imposed circumstance, the original owner’s memories and resentment gradually merge with his own; he ultimately acknowledges that Lin Xi raised and protected him like a father 1 2 20.

Lin Yuan enters the All-Continent Advanced Soul Master Tournament as part of the Sun Moon Royal Soul Engineer Academy’s reserve team. He defeats Xu Sanshi, overcomes Ma Xiaotao despite their vast cultivation gap, and becomes a central figure in the Sun Moon Empire’s victory over Shrek Academy 2 9 20.

After Xuanzi attempts to kill him outside Star Luo City, Lin Yuan summons Gu Yuena and orders her to retaliate. Xuanzi survives only through Mu En’s hidden safeguard, losing an arm, suffering permanent damage, and relinquishing a Hundred-Thousand-Year Spirit Bone to Lin Yuan 12 13 16.

Following the tournament, Lin Yuan becomes Kong Deming’s disciple, joins the Hall of Virtue, and develops Soul Guidance Devices alongside his cultivation. He later travels to Gengxin City to seek blacksmithing support for his Battle Armor project 21 31 35 36.

Lin Yuan is analytical, cautious, and highly aware of the setting’s political dangers. He chooses the Sun Moon Empire over Shrek Academy and the Holy Spirit Cult because he considers it the most stable path to survival and independence 1.
