Background / History

The Eastern Region is a cultivation region of Earth Origin Realm. Its major powers include Thousand Martial Sect, Sword God Mountain, the Wu Kingdom, the Jing Family, and the Yun Family. Thousand Martial Sect is identified as its leading sect, while Sword God Mountain becomes the region’s principal defensive force through the rise of its Sword Saint. 39 117

Its cultivators were constrained by the Heaven and Earth Shackles, which restricted powerhouses above the Emperor Realm. The shackles were part of an ancient sealing arrangement that isolated Earth Origin Realm behind the Boundary Mountain Range and the Bronze Ancient Gate. 123 206

The region’s standing changed when Sword God Mountain’s previously unknown Sword Saint defeated Devil Palace Master Leng Tu and Yan Kingdom’s King of Zhen, Ling Jue, with a single sword strike. The event shocked the Eastern Region’s factions and established Sword God Mountain as a decisive power. 39

Major Conflicts

Divine Realm Ancient Tomb dispute

When the Central Continent allocated Ancient Tomb entry slots without including Eastern Region prodigies, the region’s major powers gathered to resist the decision. Central Continent envoys and prodigies subsequently arrived, openly displaying their superiority over local experts. 102 104

Eastern Region experts later used a great formation to trap Central Continent and Demon Race figures at the tomb site. The confrontation escalated into a wider struggle in which many Eastern Region Emperor Realm experts were killed. 105 108

Su Fan ultimately intervened on behalf of the Eastern Region, opened the tomb for other experts after removing its inscriptions and drawings, and taught the Raging Wave Sword Formation to prepare the region’s sword cultivators for future unrest. 108 114

Invasion ordered by the Venerables

After the Eastern Region defied the Venerable Order, the Venerables authorized the Northern Wild Barbarian Region and Wanhe Southern Region to invade, rule the territory for a century, and establish dynasties and kingdoms within it. 116 117

The Northern Wild Court invaded from the north under an Emperor Realm expert, while the Southern Dynasty crossed from the Wanhe Southern Region near the Two Realms River. The Eastern Region suffered repeated retreats, including the breaking of the Wu Kingdom’s grand array, and faced poison and venomous-insect warfare from the south. 124

The region’s defenders countered through a hidden golden sun-like array, the Raging Wave Sword Formation led by Sword God Mountain’s Great Elder, and the Demon-Suppressing Array at Demon-Suppressing City. 124 125 123

Internal division

Pressure from the Northern Wild King and a Venerable Hall Envoy led some Eastern Region experts to consider killing the Sword Saint in exchange for regional safety. The Yun Family remained loyal and was attacked by traitorous local powers. 128

The Eastern Region then split into three camps:

• Rebels — sought to kill the Sword Saint.
• Supporters — remained loyal to Su Fan.
• Neutrals — divided between self-preservation and indecision; about one-third later joined the rebels. 133

Public opinion briefly turned against Su Fan, recasting him from guardian to scourge as the Demon-Suppressing Array neared collapse. 129

Pacification and reorganization

Su Fan defeated the invading and rebellious forces, executed Eastern Region traitors, and entrusted Shen Zhan and Sword God Mountain’s Great Elder with the regional cleanup. 135

He later destroyed the Yan Kingdom, completed the pacification of the Eastern Region, and established Sword Saint City as its central metropolis. Public opinion subsequently reversed, and Su Fan became a revered regional figure. 139

By the time Su Fan cleansed Earth Origin Realm of threats, the Eastern Region was among the territories cleared and placed within the new order being organized under his authority. 241
