Background / History

The Flower Thief first becomes known through reports of attacks on beautiful young women from wealthy households and weaker martial forces in nearby towns. His crimes draw an imperial reward, but his movements remain difficult to track. A martial estate guarded by an Early Bone Tempering Realm expert is later found devastated, with sinister residue suggesting demonic-path techniques. 49 51

He hides in a ruined mountain god temple more than a hundred li from town, where he cultivates through blood qi, yin essence, and evil-path pills. While at the Peak Bone Tempering Realm, he learns of Lin Fan and Su Qingwei, intending to visit Su Family City after reaching the Bright Force Realm. 52

After breaking through, he travels to the White Ram Gang headquarters, where he discovers the gang has already abducted women. The gang leader, Bai Jingtian, pledges the entire organization to him. The Flower Thief accepts their service, rewards Bai with strands of demonic Inner Qi, and turns the gang into an organized source of captives. 55 56

The Flower Thief later exploits the Black Tiger Gang leader’s attempt to recover his daughter. He incapacitates both the gang leader and vice leader with Inner Qi, orders their surviving forces imprisoned for use in refining a demonic weapon, and has the White Ram Gang conceal his involvement while absorbing the Black Tiger Gang’s territory. 61 62

After emerging from seclusion, he orders Bai Jingtian to attack the Su Family, seize its young women, and use the family’s martial power for further demonic weapon refinement. 63

He confronts Lin Fan during the assault on the Su Family. Although the Flower Thief possesses a stronger Bright Force foundation and initially dominates the exchange, Lin Fan’s accelerated cultivation continuously replenishes his Inner Qi. After a battle lasting nearly two hours, Lin Fan wounds him and reverses the momentum, forcing him to abandon an ancient manual that falls from his robes and flee. 68 69

Lin Fan pursues him through the town and into the wilderness. The two Bright Force Realm cultivators fight for nearly six hours in total. With his Inner Qi reduced to roughly thirty strands and no avenue of escape, the Flower Thief converts his remaining Inner Qi, meridians, flesh, blood, and bones into a massive self-destructive explosion. He is also calculating. Rather than acting alone after entering the Bright Force Realm, he accepts the White Ram Gang’s submission and binds Bai Jingtian through rewards of Inner Qi. This arrangement gives him servants capable of gathering victims, concealing crimes, and expanding his influence. 56 57

His confidence borders on arrogance after his breakthrough. He believes that, unless several Bright Force Realm experts surround him, few can keep him from escaping; he casually reveals the location of the Black Tiger Gang leader’s daughter in order to manipulate her father into a fatal lapse. 55 61 62

He remains dismissive of threats even after learning that Lin Fan has reached the Bright Force Realm. Although he acknowledges Lin Fan’s advancement, he believes his older foundation and greater experience will secure victory and orders the assault to continue. 64

The White Ram Gang assembles a large force and begins the night assault, but Lin Fan detects the army and prepares the Su Family’s defenses. 63 66 67

Battle with Lin Fan

The Flower Thief personally confronts Lin Fan during the siege. He initially holds the advantage through his stronger Bright Force foundation and more powerful Manifest Force, but Lin Fan’s continuous replenishment of Inner Qi allows him to endure the fight and gradually gain the upper hand. 67 68

After Lin Fan wounds him and the battle’s momentum turns against him, the Flower Thief abandons an ancient manual and attempts to flee. Lin Fan incapacitates three White Ram Gang Bone Tempering experts before pursuing him. 69

Death and Aftermath

Lin Fan refuses to let the Flower Thief escape because of his crimes against countless innocent women. After several more hours of combat, the Flower Thief exhausts his reserves and self-destructs. Lin Fan survives the blast, while the Flower Thief’s body is destroyed. 70

The Su Family subsequently defeats the invading White Ram Gang forces and secures the gang’s remaining members, businesses, bases, and wealth. The prefectural government later confirms the Flower Thief’s death and awards Lin Fan for eliminating the demonic cultivator. 71 84
