Background

Lin Fan awakens in a poor thatched hut after inheriting the body and memories of his seventeen-year-old counterpart in a martial world. The original Lin Fan and his younger sister, Lin Ruoruo, fled after their disgraced noble family was framed, stripped of its property, and imprisoned. The siblings survived by settling in Small Mountain Village. 1

His inherited Fifth-Grade Bone Aptitude is respectable for a commoner but insufficient for high-level martial advancement without extraordinary resources. The original Lin Fan therefore favored scholarly pursuits, but the transmigrated Lin Fan instead chooses the martial path after awakening the silver-consuming Recharge Pay-to-Win System. 2

Although he regards himself as an outsider who has taken over another person's body, Lin Fan accepts responsibility for the original owner's family, grievances, and sister. His central ambitions become protecting Ruoruo, clearing his family's name, and punishing those responsible for its downfall. 7

Lin Fan is disciplined, practical, and strongly motivated by security. He consistently calculates the silver required for cultivation, avoids wasteful spending, and chooses lower multipliers when excessive growth would leave him unable to control his body. 8 21 22

He is protective of Lin Ruoruo and extends that responsibility to the people of Small Mountain Village. He shares hunting income, compensates villagers for their labor, avoids exhausting their mountain resources, and refuses to needlessly expose them to martial factions. 10 19 22 25

Despite his growing strength, Lin Fan initially remains reluctant to kill. When White Ram Gang members follow his group, he confiscates their silver and releases them rather than provoke an immediate conflict or take lives unnecessarily. 21
