Wind swept dead leaves across the dirt road through the oak grove, carrying the damp smell of decaying earth. Biscuit led the way with a dog-eared guidebook clenched in her hand. Her steps were light, but her brow stayed furrowed.

"Stay sharp," she said quietly, scanning the dense bushes on either side. "Red Maple Valley is just ahead, on the outskirts of Masadora. It's the Bombers' territory. Those three target lone players and rookie teams, planting bombs with Life's Sound to steal their cards. They've already forced more than a dozen players out of the game. Don't make a move until we know how they operate."

Gon gripped the card binder at his waist and quietly raised his Nen. Killua sucked on a strawberry lollipop, his catlike eyes watching the shadows beneath the trees as faint sparks flickered at his fingertips. Leorio pulled his medical bag closer, his palms damp with sweat. He had heard how vicious the Bombers were, but he had never faced them. He had no idea what to expect.

No one knew where this encounter would lead, or what it would cost them to get away.

Except Saitama.

Saitama brought up the rear, kicking a pebble along the roadside. He was thinking about the milky-white spring mentioned in the guidebook. He vaguely remembered this part of the story. A Bomber named Genthru played dirty, and quite a few people would die because of him later.

But that was about all.

Trouble or not, it made no difference to Saitama. A wave of his hand would settle it. Whether the spring water was sweet, and whether he could chill it before drinking, mattered far more.
