The battle raged on.
High above, blue and gold light clashed.
Every collision brought a thunderous boom.
Genos had pushed his thrusters to their limit. White-blue jets streamed from his body, tracing twisted paths through the sky. Missiles, beams, energy blades, ramming attacks—he unleashed every weapon he had, weaving a barrage of fire that seemed ready to consume everything.
But it was no use.
The First Prince wove through the barrage, dark-gold Nen swirling around him.
With a casual sweep of his hand, he sent a Nen Blade slashing across the sky.
Hiss—
The Nen Blade skimmed past Genos and struck the plateau below.
It sheared straight through a mountain ridge.
The entire slope, trees and all, slid away like tofu cut by a knife, throwing dust into the sky.
A High-Heat Ray swept from Genos's palm.
The incandescent beam raked the ground.
Wherever it passed, rock melted and sand turned to glass, leaving a smoking, molten trench that stretched for miles.
The aftershocks of their battle were destroying the entire plateau before their eyes.
Forests burned to carbon.
The earth split open.
Rock strata collapsed.
The once-rolling landscape had been flattened, blasted apart, and melted through until it was scarred beyond recognition.
This was no longer a battle on the level of ordinary Hunters.
The shockwave from a single blow could have leveled a small town.
And the two in the sky showed no sign of stopping.
Bang!
Another head-on collision.
Genos shot backward, tumbling several times through the air before steadying himself.
His left-arm armor was completely ruined. Sparks crackled from the broken section.
Warning: Left arm 78% damaged. Attack function lost. Main Reactor output down to 63%. Thruster system wear increasing. Mobility declining.
The mechanical voice delivered its cold report.
Genos gritted his teeth—or rather,
