The arguing in the distance grew louder and louder.

The ones carrying water had looped halfway around, their gazes drifting toward the top of his head.
There were also several mercenaries in desert combat uniforms. They were clearly lined up at the supply window, but their toes were pointed in his direction.
Bai Zhu handed the terminal back to Milluki.
"Is it too late to dye my Tail Feather black?"
Piyu lowered her head to look at the top of his head, then at his face.
"Too late."
Bai Zhu gritted his teeth.
"Why?"
Piyu was very serious.
"Your aura is too distinctive. Even without that feather, they could pick you out of a crowd."
Bai Zhu fell silent for two seconds.
"Thanks for being so good at complimenting people."
"That wasn't a compliment."
"Then that's even worse."
Piyu pulled out her phone, opened a simple map of the camp, and lowered her voice.
"That Old Scar Bounty Team from Capital Hall has arrived too. They didn't set up in the public camp. They're near the abandoned oil wells on the western side. It's not far from here, ten minutes by car."
Milluki leaned over to take a look.
"Tch, they know what they're doing. They can avoid the military's attention while blocking the old road to Oasis."
Bai Zhu looked at him.
