Razor turned and left.

The Fourteen Devils immediately spread out in pairs, encircling Satotz, Piyu, and Dwun.

Milluki carried the box on his back, his terminal floating before him as he watched the feed sent back by his spiders.

His fingers flew across the screen.

"They're still moving. They're taking the diagonal transport track, but that doesn't seem to be the proper route... Damn it, these people really memorized the map."

Ging had already stepped onto the broken stone beam without looking back.

"Quit talking and lead the way."

"I am leading!"

Milluki raised a hand and enlarged the terminal display, projecting several thin lines into the air.

"Cut in from here. There's a collapsed section of track ahead. Turn right, and there's an old transport route. The spiders just scanned it. We can cut off their retreat faster if we go this way."

Satotz ran after them for two steps, then looked down at the cracked stone patterns beneath his feet. His whole expression soured.

"Slow down! Watch your footing!"

Piyu followed with her phone raised.

"Mr. Satotz, you look like a security guard watching children touch museum exhibits."

"They're beyond touching things!"

Satotz pointed at the slanted transport track below, his voice trembling.

"This is outright destruction! They're treating the ruins like a mine!"

Everyone looked down along the broken track.

It was no ordinary passage.

The entire rail line was half-buried in black stone. It had originally been a tunnel meant to transport something massive. The walls on both sides were broad, with slots and fastening rings at regular intervals, while several rail plates cracked by vibrations lay scattered across the ground.

What stood out even more were the nails in the walls.

Triangulation markers, staggered front to back, all freshly driven in.

List crouched down and
