[Achievement Point Reward: 5 points]
[Current Total Achievement Points: 456 points. Current Total Reiatsu: 4560.]
Woohoo, liftoff!
Bai Zhu was over the moon. Before he could savor the lingering warmth on his hand, a piercing engine roar came from the end of the narrow alley!
The couple had already climbed into a battered Beetle. A thick plume of black smoke burst from its rear, and it shot onto the town's main road, vanishing in the blink of an eye!
"Fuck!"
How could Bai Zhu still care about reminiscing over how soft the big shot's waist had been? Reiatsu erupted from beneath his feet, launching him forward like a cannonball.
He bounded onto the rooftops along the street, his toes tapping across snow-covered tiles and kicking up clouds of powder as he raced after the Beetle.
Almost the very second he sprang away, an aura of killing intent ten times colder than before exploded behind him.
All pretense vanished from Illumi's "beautiful" face, leaving it as cold as if icicles might fall from it.
He had finally realized it. What bullshit couple cover? This guy had wanted to take advantage of him from start to finish!
Just as he was about to move, a chubby hand grabbed the hem of his skirt.
"Big Brother, don't chase him."
Milluki took a tiny controller from his pocket. A red dot moved steadily across its screen. "I put Fly No. 1 on that man's collar earlier. They can't get away."
He watched Bai Zhu's retreating figure sprint across the rooftops and curled his lip.
"That idiot can run all he wants."
Meanwhile, Bai Zhu was tearing across the rooftops, icy wind cutting across his face like knives.
As he ran, he kept looking back, growing more and more suspicious.
Where were they?
Why hadn't either of them followed?
As he kept running, Bai Zhu gradually slowed down. He came to a sudden stop at the edge of a roof.
Something was wrong!
It was one thing if little fatty Milluki couldn't keep up, but there was no way that expressionless monster Illumi was slower than him!
And he hadn't come after him either...
There was only one explanation...
"Fuck!"
Bai Zhu's face instantly darkened.
He slapped his forehead and finally figured it out.
Those two brats had played him! They already had another way to track them, while he had been running himself ragged out here. To them, didn't that make him a complete dumbass?
Realizing that, Bai Zhu the Big Dumbass stopped running altogether.
He plopped down on the snowy roof, crossed one leg over the other, and wore an expression that screamed annoyance and resignation.
Fine. You guys are awesome.
I'll wait right here today. Let's see when you come over to "pick me up"!
The cold wind drove snowflakes down his collar. The more Bai Zhu thought about it, the angrier he got, and the angrier he got, the more he felt like a complete idiot.
By the time he looked at the sky again, the moon had climbed high overhead. Only then did two figures appear behind him like ghosts, landing without a sound.
"Weren't you tracking them? Why did you stop here?"
Bai Zhu jolted and spun around.
Illumi was still dressed as a beautiful married woman, his face looking even more alluring beneath the moonlight. Behind him, Milluki had his head lowered, both hands holding a strange handheld game console as his thumbs flew over the screen.
A game console? Tracking?
Fuck!
The connection in Bai Zhu's mind snapped into place, and a surge of rage shot straight to his head.
He sprang up from the ground like a coiled spring, crossed the distance to Milluki in a few strides, and grabbed the fatty's plump cheeks, yanking them hard to both sides.
Nice feel. Soft and springy.
"You little fatty, why are you so vindictive?" Bai Zhu gritted his teeth. "You'd already planted a tracker, so why couldn't you say something? You enjoyed watching me run around on rooftops like a moron, didn't you? And why did you take so long to get here?"
"Mmph... let go of me..."
Milluki's cheeks were being pinched so hard that his words came out garbled, and piglike snorts escaped his nose.
He instinctively shot a pleading look toward his big brother, only to find Illumi watching quietly, with no intention of intervening. The air around them merely seemed to turn several degrees colder.
Big Brother was... approving this?
Milluki's heart sank, and his momentum immediately weakened. He grumbled unhappily, "Who told you to run so fast?! How was I supposed to have time to shout? Idiot! Besides, we went to eat!"
"I..."
Bai Zhu gave his cheeks another hard squeeze before finally letting go. Looking at Milluki's reddened face, the anger in his heart finally eased.
He clapped his hands, sat back down, and said, "All right, tell me. Where are they now?"
Milluki rubbed his sore cheeks and shot Bai Zhu a vicious glare before handing over the "game console."
A pixel-art maze filled the screen. A tiny figure stood motionless in place, while a conspicuous red dot blinked at the far end of the maze.
"Not far. A farm in the next town over, just over twenty kilometers away," Milluki answered in a muffled voice.
Twenty kilometers...
Bai Zhu looked at the two brothers, who seemed utterly unbothered, and raised an eyebrow.
"Walking?"
Illumi said nothing. Wearing that beautiful face, he merely glanced down below the roof.
In the shadows of the alley sat a jet-black sedan, silent and still. Its sharp, aggressive lines and exaggerated design made it look as though it had driven straight out of a gothic comic.
Then he looked at Bai Zhu again. The meaning was obvious: there was no seat for him.
Bai Zhu ignored him completely. He jumped down from the roof first, pulled open the car door without ceremony, and climbed in.
But when he sank into the soft leather seat and prepared to throw out a sarcastic remark, his mouth fell open and would not close again.
The inside of this car... was this even a fucking car?
There was no steering wheel in the driver's seat. In its place was a game controller covered in joysticks and buttons. The windshield was, unbelievably, an absurdly enormous curved screen.
The entire interior was also a mobile showcase of top-tier collectible figures!
From a limited-edition Ingram Unit 1 from Patlabor, to all kinds of unnamed mech models, to several alluring beautiful-girl figures in seductive poses, it was packed from end to end in a dazzling display.
Bai Zhu stared blankly.
A complex wave of jealousy, envy, and sheer fanaticism instantly overwhelmed his reason.
This... this fucking... wasn't this the ultimate happy house he had dreamed of before transmigrating?!
So wealthy and powerful otaku really could do whatever the hell they wanted!
In that instant, the way he looked at Milluki changed completely. This wasn't some little fatty. He was clearly the living god of otaku culture!

[Hidden/Easter Egg Achievement Unlocked: The Ultimate Romance of an Otaku]
[Mission Description: Ride in a "running collectible figure."]
[Reward: 1 Achievement Point.]
The notification ringing in his mind made the smile on Bai Zhu's lips widen further and further.
Worth it. Even if Illumi skewered him like a candied hawthorn stick on the spot today, it was fucking worth it!
The car door opened again, and Illumi and Milluki climbed in one after the other.
Milluki dropped into the driver's seat and picked up the game controller with practiced ease. Illumi, meanwhile, sat expressionlessly beside Bai Zhu.
Inside the cramped space, a faint fragrance mingled with an intensely dangerous aura, making every muscle in Bai Zhu's body tighten.
"Hold on tight."
Milluki tossed out the words in his muffled voice and sharply shoved the joystick forward.
Bzz—
After a faint electric hum, the car launched forward without warning!
"Fuck!"
The terrifying acceleration pinned Bai Zhu hard against the seat, while the streets outside the windows warped into blurry streaks of light.
Yet the huge screen ahead did not display live road conditions. Instead, it showed a beautifully rendered third-person racing game!
On-screen, a virtual sports car was tearing through a complicated track. Milluki muttered things like "drift through the turn" and "nitro boost," his fingers tapping the controller with rapid clacks.
In reality, the black beast of a car performed equally absurd maneuvers.
Bai Zhu's heart was practically jumping out of his throat. This wasn't driving at all. This was straight-up gambling with their lives!
And yet, after the initial terror, an incomparable thrill rushed straight to his head.
"Little fatty, that's badass!" Bai Zhu couldn't help shouting. "Are you selling this ability? I'll pay top dollar!"
"Fuck off!" Milluki did not even turn around. "Don't distract me from breaking my record!"
Bai Zhu curled his lip, then turned to the "beautiful married woman" beside him. From beginning to end, Illumi remained as steady as a mountain. Only his hollow eyes stared without blinking at the darkness flying past outside the window.
To stay this calm during a death race at over three hundred kilometers an hour.
This guy really was a monster.
Just as Bai Zhu's thoughts began to wander—
Screech—!!!
With an ear-piercing shriek of tires, the entire car suddenly fishtailed to a stop. The massive inertia slammed Bai Zhu's head into the back of the front seat.
"Fuck! We're here!"
Milluki tossed the controller aside.
The racing game disappeared from the screen ahead. A faint buzzing came from the roof as countless mechanical flies dispersed outward.
Soon, the screen split into dozens of smaller windows, each displaying a live surveillance feed.
Most of the feeds showed ordinary farm scenery: barren fields, dilapidated barns, and a few crows pecking for food in the snow.
