  • Smoker was astonished that fifteen-year-old Nami had drawn the precise nautical charts, and Leo asked her to help organize them.

Ch. 144Dare to Make Sun and Moon Shine Anew (2/2)

At Cocoyasi Village’s bonfire, Leo explained to Nami that he wanted to use sea charts and a communication network to help oppressed people resist rather than save everyone himself. Nami heard his ambition to unite people against the Marines and the World Government, leaving her with a song and words she would never forget.

  • Leo organized the villagers and got the bonfire party underway at nine that night.
  • Leo considered how he could win over Smoker and Hina, who still had not understood what he was trying to convey.

  • Nami estimated they would reach the 153rd Marine Branch by evening, and Leo said he intended to recruit Zoro.

Ch. 147Fleet (1/3)

  • Enel detected a fleet more than fifty kilometers to the west, and Lafitte confirmed it consisted of more than seven large galleons.
  • Leo chose to have Ace attack Krieg’s fleet once it came closer, so the people of Cocoyasi Village could witness the pirates’ execution.
  • Leo explained that he no longer needed pirates to join his group and said Krieg’s ruthless attacks on merchant ships made him undeserving of mercy.
  • Leo sent Lafitte to Orange Town to tell the residents not to panic, then considered how Enel might help solve his communication problems.

Ch. 148The Destruction of Krieg's Fleet (2/3)

  • Leo told Lafitte and Ace to take Nami and retrieve the Devil Fruit and sword while the group stopped for the night.
  • Leo looked toward Enel and considered teaching him to fly.
