"I thought you two would throw down the moment you met again," Chrollo said, standing silently beside him with his trademark, flawless smile on his face. "I didn't expect him to still not have the heart to raise a hand against you."
Feitan had dug himself into quite a pit, yet he didn't mind it in the least, happily shoveling dirt in and watering it himself as if he planned to take up permanent residence at the bottom.
Emotions truly were such elusive things; even when reason sounded the alarm, people still plunged in headfirst without a second thought.
"So you were stirring up trouble everywhere just to watch me and Feitan fight?" Luo Ye glanced at him sideways, looking entirely speechless. "Chrollo, since when did you become so bored?"
Whether he and Feitan fought or not was none of Chrollo's business—did he really need to go around provoking them? He was sticking his nose way too far into other people's affairs!
He was still infuriatingly annoyed; maybe he should find some time to slip a sack over Chrollo's head and beat him up.
"After you left Meteor City all those years ago, he was heartbroken," Chrollo brought up the distant past instead. "He searched everywhere for your traces."
Luo Ye frowned. "So what? What are you trying to say?" Why was Chrollo suddenly bringing this up out of nowhere? Was he settling old scores? But even if they were settling scores, that was a matter between him and Feitan, and it had nothing to do with Chrollo, right?
"Thirty-six thousand, seven hundred and eighty-five." Chrollo suddenly stated a number. A question mark appeared over Luo Ye's head—what was that number supposed to mean? It couldn't be the money he owed, could it? But he hadn't borrowed any money!
