Background

Chrollo had already gathered Uvogin and Nobunaga as companions when his group began targeting the Dead Nen house in District 11. He sought to remove Rasa, the district's cautious ruler, but could not find an opening against Rasa's spatial Nen. Luo Ye's group killed Rasa first, forcing Chrollo to reassess both the house and its new owners. 45 50

While searching for food, Chrollo encountered Illumi and attempted to recruit him because of his combat ability. Illumi instead joined Luo Ye's group, further convincing Chrollo that Luo Ye's faction possessed unusual value. 50
