Watching for an Opening

"Fleet Admiral, latest intelligence: Kaido has entered Wano alone and is now fighting God."

At New Marine headquarters, a communications officer pushed open the door and placed the report on Sengoku's desk.

Sengoku picked it up, his expression turning grave.

"Our chance has come."

After reading the report, a murderous glint appeared in Sengoku's eyes.

Below him, Tsuru had finished reading it too, but she was still thinking.

"It won't be easy. Only God and Kaido are fighting. Their forces haven't clashed on a large scale."

Tsuru shook her head. She saw no opening to exploit.

Wano could function just fine without God. Thunder God, Death God, and the others were still there. Zephyr was in Wano too, along with Aokiji, and Vergo had reportedly shown up as well.

With all of them there, not to mention Wano's weapons, taking advantage of the situation would be anything but easy.

"Who said I was going after Wano?"

Sengoku's face darkened. Of the Four Emperors, Ye Chen was the one he wanted to eliminate most.

"You mean...?"

"This time, we'll be the ones waiting to strike." With a cold laugh, Sengoku picked up a Den Den Mushi and contacted Kizaru. His objective was clear: once God and Kaido had worn each other down, Kizaru would deliver a killing blow. If no opening appeared, he would call off the mission. With Kizaru's speed, there was everything to gain and nothing to lose.

Sengoku also made a second plan. If the Beasts Pirates and Wano went to war, he wouldn't mind sinking his teeth into Wano from behind—ideally, wiping it out.

The Revolutionary Army had the same idea.
