Background / History

Shisui served under Uchiha Shu’s father after graduating as a ninja. When Shu’s father died covering his team’s retreat and Shu’s mother later died from illness, Shisui felt responsible for their orphaned son and visited him every few days. 1

By the time Shu turned six, Shisui had awakened the Mangekyō Sharingan and disclosed his Kotoamatsukami to the Third Hokage. He initially trusted Hiruzen and believed the Hokage’s views differed fundamentally from Danzō’s, but Shu’s warnings forced him to consider that revealing his ocular ability had made him a target. 1 6 7

Personality

Shisui is kind, conscientious, and strongly inclined to shoulder responsibility for others. His care for Shu originates in a sense of duty to his former captain, while his concern for the Uchiha stems from genuine compassion rather than personal ambition. 1 8
