Kaido murmured doubtfully, his gaze following the silhouette approaching through the dust.
As the distance closed, that face finally came fully into focus.
Kaido froze for a moment, then whipped his head toward the other side. The Nine-Tails fox was still standing there, arms folded, looking down at him.
Uh... they really were different. Ron had transformed into a Golden Nine-Tailed Fox Demon, while this one, though just as enormous, looked unremarkable and had a cocky air about him.
"Hey, Ron, didn't you go take care of something for Rocks? Why are you here?" Kaido shifted his gaze from Kurama back to Ron, his tone disgruntled.
Ron stopped about ten meters away from him, a faint smile on his face. "Yeah. Once I finished, I came to Amazon Lily to meet up."
Kaido stared at him for two seconds, then widened his eyes and asked, "Do I look like an idiot to you, Ron?"
