Loki sprang out of the snow with a sit-up, but there was not a trace of anger in his cloth-covered eyes. Instead, an even fiercer light shone in them.
"Just what I'd expect from the man I admire," Loki said with heartfelt admiration. "You're so strong!"
Then he shouldered his spiked club and ran toward Rocks again.
Only to be sent flying again.
But he did not give up.
Almost the very second he landed, he climbed out of the crater in the snow and ran toward Rocks, only to be sent flying once more.
Then... he got up again and charged at Rocks again.
This time, however, Rocks did not strike. His brows drew together, and undisguised impatience filled his voice. "You little bastard, will you quit pestering me? Go play in the mud if you've got nothing to do, all right? I don't have time to play with you!"
Loki was not discouraged by his attitude at all. "Rocks, take me in, and you won't regret it," he said unhurriedly. "I'll help you become King of the World."
Rocks froze for a moment, then threw back his head and laughed. "You? Wororororo! What a load of bullshit!"
"I'm not bullshitting!" Loki raised his voice. "I'll keep getting stronger, strong enough to turn the tide of any battle."
Walking behind them, Ron looked at Loki's back as he carried his spiked club. Some images suddenly surfaced in his mind-the outline of a middle-aged Kaido.
His gaze unconsciously fell on Kaido, who was walking shoulder to shoulder with him.
He still looks like a normal person now. Just what makes him turn into that giant later on?
Not just Kaido, either. Linlin and Whitebeard too... Is it because of their Devil Fruits?
Yes, Ron thought that was very likely.
