Still, Silver Axe did not take the matter too seriously.
He had fought Golden Lion for so long. If he were that easy to kill, he would have died who knew how many times by now.
Golden Lion soon landed not far from Silver Axe, then turned his head, fixed his gaze on him, and drawled, "Silver Axe, next time you want to screw me over, you'd better come up with a foolproof plan instead of this shit-for-brains stunt. Understand?"
Silver Axe sneered and spread his hands indifferently. "Right back at you."
Golden Lion looked at his indifferent expression. The anger in his chest felt blocked by something, unable to rise or subside. "What? Are you a dog? All you can do is parrot other people?"
Silver Axe: "@*#¥... (An encrypted string of curses heavily involving mothers.)"
Golden Lion: "#¥@¥%*... (Likewise sent a classified message extending greetings to relatives.)"
The two were trading insults back and forth.
Suddenly, both their expressions changed.
"Whoosh!"
A figure shot between them at such speed that he left only a blurred afterimage in their vision, tearing a piercing whistle from the wind.
As the afterimage passed through the gap between them, a few words drifted lightly into their ears.
"Coming through, you two low-class pirates."
Silver Axe and Golden Lion froze at the same time.
That label was like a slap across the face-not hard, but landing squarely on the pride behind their earlier wager: whoever ran would be a low-class pirate for life.
Almost simultaneously, they turned their heads, their gazes following that retreating figure. Golden Lion's face first went livid, then quickly flushed bright red.
He turned toward Silver Axe and said incredulously, "Did you hear that? That bastard Kaido called us low-class pirates."
Silver Axe glanced at him, his expression flat.
