"What do you want?" Rocks turned to look at Linlin on the thundercloud.
"Mamamama..." Linlin chuckled. "Whatever Shiki wants, of course."
Golden Lion's brow furrowed slightly at that. Rocks was hardly likely to refuse a little compensation for going through the motions.
But if Linlin got involved too, Rocks probably wouldn't agree to two extra payouts.
Damn that Linlin. He should have kept her occupied a little longer earlier.
And things went exactly as Golden Lion had expected.
Rocks laughed. "Hey, Linlin, there's nothing to gain from this trip. I already said that aboard the ship."
"What about Shiki?"
"Nothing for him either, of course."
"Tch." Golden Lion immediately cut in, giving Linlin a sidelong glance. "Linlin, do you think I'm like you? Always looking for something in return for contributing to the crew."
Linlin gave him a look of disgust and asked skeptically, "Are you serious, Shiki?"
Golden Lion didn't answer. Instead, he changed the subject, shouting toward the Golden Nine-Tailed Fox Demon, "Kid, take a break. Let me have a go at Harald."
He meant nothing else by it, nor did he really want Ron to rest. He just wanted to be able to say afterward that he, too, had shed blood for the Rocks Pirates.
Then... everyone knew how it went. If he asked Rocks for compensation again, Rocks definitely wouldn't refuse.
"..."
Although Ron didn't understand why Golden Lion was being so kind today, he respected his decision and stopped the Tailed Beast Bomb bombardment.
The next second, Golden Lion flew swiftly toward Harald, moving so fast it was as though he feared someone would beat him to it.
Silver Axe watched his retreating figure, his gaze darkening slightly.
*This guy... did he see Ron's power too? Is he trying to use this chance to win
