"An internship?"
Xin looked at Shūbīng in surprise.
"Yeah, this time it's Class B." Shūbīng nodded.
A long time had passed since the last Human World internship. Since Class A's studies had progressed far beyond the other classes, it was only now Class B's turn.
"Are you leading the team again?" Xin asked.
"Our class and some Class B students will be serving as monitors for this internship. If you're not going, then I'll be the team captain." Shūbīng said.
Xin pondered this. "There won't be any trouble this time, right..."
Shūbīng was somewhat hesitant as well. "Probably not. Last time was a special circumstance, wasn't it? Besides, the matter has already been investigated. The Kekai team and the people setting the seals have both been reinforced this time."
After thinking it over, Xin asked again, "Kanazawa and Aoshika are going too, right?"
"Yeah." Shūbīng seemed to recall something and added, "I looked over Class B's roster. Since Rukia missed Class A's last internship, she's been temporarily assigned to Class B for this one."
That was normal enough...
Xin's gaze flickered.
Human World internships were ordinarily routine, but because of last time, Xin could not help feeling concerned.
"Are you sure you'll be fine leading the team?" Xin asked uneasily.
Shūbīng rolled his eyes. "The way you said that makes it sound like you want something to happen."
Xin let out a breath. "Forget it. I'll come along too."
Shūbīng shrugged at that. "That'd be best. If you lead the team, it'll save me some trouble."
Xin immediately went to Nanda Hidezawa's office and told him about it.
Teacher Nanda naturally had no objections and readily agreed. With Xin there, they would have an extra measure of security.
