Background

Tian Mingye is regarded as the demon race’s greatest genius of the century. After the Heavenly Demon Sect was nearly destroyed by the Daqian Dynasty, she rebuilt its strength, reclaimed the Twelve Heavenly Demon Mountains, and massacred twenty human cities in retaliation. Her cruelty toward humans made her a feared figure throughout Fireburn Kingdom. 5

Despite this reputation, she leads with deliberate discipline. When Liu Ruyan locates the Azure Mist Sect’s formation core, Tian Mingye orders the Heavenly Demon Sect to prepare for a coordinated assault, with infiltrators tasked to destroy the core from within. 4

She considers Liyue an enemy and refuses Reverend Guiqi’s offer to sell him to the organization in exchange for resources. 17

She is highly perceptive in combat and quickly recognizes the connection between Jiang Chen’s altered qi sea and Reverend Guiqi’s Form-Returning Formation. Rather than merely accepting Jiang Chen’s proposed energy exchange, she uses him to synchronize with and collapse the formation that imprisoned her. 22

Assault on Azure Mist Sect

Tian Mingye launches her assault at exactly noon despite knowing the sect has prepared an ambush. She initially demands the surrender of Qu Yang, the Heavenly Demon Sect’s Myriad Laws Elder, and the person responsible for his imprisonment. 16

After the sect refuses, she pierces its mountain-protecting formation with the Violet Star Demon Sword, defeats its assembled defenders, and splits Myriad Laws Peak while searching for Qu Yang and the Demi-Immortal’s Book. 16

Return-Form Formation Battle

Reverend Guiqi traps Tian Mingye inside a Second-Stage Return-Form Formation, which drains her demonic power and restores her to a human form. He attempts to absorb the purified energy to enter the Spirit Severing Realm. 17

Tian Mingye reveals that her earlier demonic energy remained hidden beyond the formation. She reforms it into a Demonic Flame avatar, overwhelms Guiqi, and rejects his attempt to bargain with Liyue. 17
