Shrek Academy's Three Beauties (?)
The next morning.
In the cafeteria, Flender sat in the main seat flipping through a newspaper, Zhao Wuji squatted on a stool eating a steamed bun, Yu Xiaogang, as usual, sat in the corner flipping through a booklet.
Ma Hongjun arrived earlier than usual, sat down and silently ate his steamed bun, his eyes constantly glancing towards the door.
Dai Mubai and Oscar entered the cafeteria one after the other.
Flender looked up and paused, his hand holding the newspaper still.
The steamed bun in Zhao Wuji's mouth fell onto the table.
Dai Mubai walked ahead, his once angular face appearing much softer today. His jawline wasn't as sharp, his cheeks were more rounded, and his skin was a shade lighter.
Oscar followed behind him, and the changes were even more obvious. His already delicate features now had a more refined look, and his eyelashes looked longer than yesterday.
The two sat down at the table. Dai Mubai reached for a steamed bun, his fingers long and slender, his nails a pale pink.
"You two..." Zhao Wuji spat out crumbs of steamed bun from his mouth, "What's going on with you two?"
Dai Mubai paused for a moment, looked at his hands, then at Oscar, his expression shifting from confusion to bewilderment.
Oscar looked down at himself, then at Dai Mubai, opened his mouth, but couldn't say anything for a long time.
Ma Hongjun ate his steamed bun with his head down, his cheeks puffed out like a hamster's.
Yu Xiaogang put down the booklet, adjusted his glasses, and walked over to look the two of them up and down.
"The body tempering effect is better than I expected." Yu Xiaogang nodded, his tone very professional. "After the meridians were widened, impurities in the body were eliminated more thoroughly, and the skin and facial contours will improve. This is normal, don't worry."
"Normal?" Dai Mubai's voice was a little unsteady. "Grandmaster, why does my voice sound a bit off?"
Yu Xiaogang listened carefully and indeed, it had changed; it was a little clearer than before.
"The throat meridians are also within the scope of tempering." Yu Xiaogang said without changing his expression, "You'll get used to it in a few days."
Dai Mubai looked down at his hands, then looked up at Oscar, and finally his gaze fell on Ma Hongjun's face as he ate a steamed bun.
"Fatty." Dai Mubai's voice was calm.
"Hmm?" Ma Hongjun looked up, with crumbs of steamed bun still stuck to the corner of his mouth.
Why didn't you explain this to us clearly yesterday?
"I already told you, it's body tempering." Ma Hongjun looked innocent. "Look how energetic I am now, I've lost weight. We share the good times and the bad, we're all brothers, right?"
Dai Mubai stared at him for three breaths.
"You wait."
Ma Hongjun stuffed the last bite of steamed bun into his mouth, stood up, clapped his hands, and said, "Well, I have to practice this morning, so I'll be going now."
He turned and walked towards the cafeteria entrance.
As soon as Ma Hongjun stepped out of the cafeteria, Dai Mubai grabbed him by the back of his collar.
"Why are you running?" Dai Mubai's voice came from behind, his tone calm. "We share the good times and the bad, as you said yesterday."
Ma Hongjun froze for a moment, then turned around and chuckled awkwardly, "Boss Dai, how come your grip strength has gotten so strong? Did you practice martial arts?"
"Stop talking nonsense." Dai Mubai pulled him back into the cafeteria and pressed him down to sit at the table. "Oscar and I are both acting strangely right now. Explain yourself clearly: what exactly will happen on the third floor?"
Ma Hongjun hunched his shoulders and muttered something under his breath.
"Speak louder."
"... I didn't practice the third level either," Ma Hongjun confessed honestly. "The Grandmaster only taught me the first two levels; he said he'd teach me the third level after I got used to it."
Dai Mubai and Oscar both turned to look at Yu Xiaogang.
Yu Xiaogang held his teacup and took a slow sip. "The focus of the third level of tempering is on the Chong and Ren meridians, which will have a more significant impact on the physique than the first two levels. But I'm still figuring out the specific effects."
"What do you mean by 'more obvious'?" Oscar pressed. "I'm like this now."
"Theoretically, the voice will be softer, and the skin will be fairer," Yu Xiaogang adjusted his glasses. "In addition, the distribution of body fat may be adjusted."
"Adjust?" Dai Mubai repeated the word. "Adjust to where?"
Yu Xiaogang did not answer, but simply took another sip of tea.
Ma Hongjun sat next to him, his cheeks puffing out as he tried to suppress his laughter.
"Fatty," Dai Mubai turned to look at him, "What are you laughing at?"
"No, no," Ma Hongjun tried hard to suppress his smile. "I just think that we should share the good times, everyone should be treated the same, that's good."
Oscar stared at him for three seconds, then stood up from his stool and sat down on the other side of Ma Hongjun.
"We'll share the good times." Oscar put his hand on Ma Hongjun's shoulder, his smile gentle. "Then this afternoon during practice, the three of us will practice the third level together."
Ma Hongjun's smile froze.
"Boss Dai is coming too," Oscar added.
Dai Mubai nodded beside him.
In the blink of an eye, a week has passed.
Flender squatted at the entrance of the canteen, holding half a steamed bun in his hand, staring blankly into the courtyard.
Zhao Wuji stood next to him, crumbs of steamed bun falling all over the floor, unable to close his mouth for a long time.
Three people were sitting around the stone table in the courtyard.
The one on the left has long, fiery red hair cascading over her shoulders, delicate features, and rosy lips. She wears a practice uniform that has been altered to fit too small, the fabric of which is stretched taut across her chest, while her waist is so slender it looks like it was sculpted.
That's Ma Hongjun.
The one in the middle has blonde hair tied in a high ponytail and looks somewhat like Dai Mubai.
That's Dai Mubai.
The one on the right is even more exaggerated. Her face is so tender it looks like you could pinch water out of it, her eyelashes are long and curled, her eyes are watery, she is half a head shorter than the other two, her shoulders are narrow, and she exudes a charming and delicate vibe.
That's the Oscar.
Three people sat around a stone table, each with a bowl of porridge in front of them, their expressions varied.
Ma Hongjun held the bowl, his face calm, sipping his drink in small sips, as if he had resigned himself to his fate.
Dai Mubai crossed his arms, his face ashen, but the ashen look only made him more handsome; his brows were slightly furrowed, exuding a cold and aloof charm.
Oscar kept his head down, stirring the porridge in his bowl with a spoon. Occasionally, he would look up and steal a glance at Dai Mubai beside him, then quickly lower his head again.
Flender stuffed the steamed bun into his mouth, chewed it twice, then spat it out, took off his glasses, wiped them, and put them back on.
"Zhao Wuji." Flender's voice was weak.
"Um."
Am I seeing things?
Zhao Wuji looked down at the steamed bun in his hand, then looked up at the three figures in the courtyard.
"If you're seeing things, then I must be blind."
Yu Xiaogang walked out of the small house, holding the booklet in his hand. His steps were light, and when he saw the scene in the yard, a satisfied smile appeared on his face.
"The results are better than expected." Yu Xiaogang walked to the stone table, looked down at the three people, and said, "Their skin texture has improved significantly, their facial contours have been optimized considerably, and their overall appearance has been elevated to a higher level."
