Awakening and Cultivation

A Martial Soul is awakened during a child's ceremony and determines whether they possess Soul Power and can enter the Soul Master path. Innate Soul Power is a decisive advantage: Innate Full Soul Power begins at Rank 10, while Twin Martial Souls are regarded as an exceptionally rare talent 1 2 3.

Martial Souls may manifest as weapons, beasts, body parts, or independent external entities. Their quality affects physical ability, spiritual strength, intimidation of other Martial Souls, and the bearer’s future cultivation ceiling 1 2 15 32.

Soul Rings and Soul Skills

Soul Rings are acquired from Soul Beasts and attached to a Martial Soul to provide Soul Skills. A Soul Master's physical strength affects the age of ring they can endure; exceeding ordinary limits is dangerous but possible for exceptional bearers 5 6.

• A Soul Ring’s age and compatibility can determine the quality of its resulting skill. Wang Tianyi considers a life-oriented route more suitable for Blue Silver Grass than Tang San's poison-oriented Datura Snake ring 19.
• A bearer with Twin Martial Souls may need rings for both souls. For Wang Tianyi, leaving Six Ears unringed after strengthening Heaven-Equaling destabilizes his Spiritual Sea and causes extreme pain 5 7.
• Soul Ring color is used as a visible measure of age. Wang Tianyi's yellow-and-purple configuration shocks observers because his second and third rings exceed normal limits 30 32 45.

Martial Soul Possession

Martial Soul Possession transforms or equips the bearer with traits of their Martial Soul.

• Beast Martial Soul users may develop animal characteristics, weapons, armor, scales, claws, or fur during possession 12 32.
• The manifestation can exert instinctive pressure on weaker Beast Martial Souls. Heaven-Equaling suppresses the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon and the Imperial Fighting Team's Beast Martial Souls despite Wang Tianyi's lower Soul Power 32.

Heaven-Equaling

Heaven-Equaling, also called Qi Tian, is an ultimate power-type assault Martial Soul. Its possession manifests Sun Wukong-like battle attire, golden fur, and the Ruyi Jingu Bang 2 7 12.

• Vajra Spirit Platform — Reduces mental damage by 40% and physical damage by 50%; it ignores differences in Soul Power, attributes, true damage, and laws 2.
• Indestructible Vajra Body — Allows Wang Tianyi to withstand Yu Tianheng's Thunder Dragon Claw without injury 32.

• Pride · As-You-Will Iron Rod — Increases all attributes by 100% after Six Ears receives its first Soul Ring 8.

Internal Conflict and Consciousness

Heaven-Equaling and Six Ears mutually reinforce and restrain one another, but neither willingly submits. Their ongoing battle takes place inside Wang Tianyi's mind and is the source of his persistent spiritual pain 2 3.

• Their conflict expands Wang Tianyi's Spiritual Sea into a golden, sunlit half associated with Qi Tian and a dark, moonlit half associated with Six Ears 4.
• Both Martial Souls possess independent consciousnesses. Wang Tianyi later encounters them as Sun Wukong, the Great Sage Equal to Heaven, and the Six-Eared True Lord 4 27 28.
• Strengthening only one Martial Soul breaks their balance. Qi Tian's first ring lets it overpower Six Ears in the Spiritual Sea, nearly causing Wang Tianyi to lose consciousness 7.
