Appearance

The Poison Fiend Wyvern is a massive poison dragon nearly thirty meters long when its wings are spread. It is covered in dark-green scales and possesses sharp claws, enormous wings, and sinister, greedy eyes. 26

History

The Wyvern first appeared in a valley where the Red Poison Earth Dragon and Rock Frog Kings were fighting over a mature Lingzhi. Drawn by the herb, it attempted to seize it directly, forcing the former enemies to temporarily unite against it. Its green dragon breath overwhelmed the Red Poison Earth Dragon’s corrosive fire and severely injured it, while the Rock Frog clan retreated to avoid annihilation. 26

Before the Wyvern could claim the Lingzhi, the Nether Ghost Frog stole it and escaped underground. The enraged Wyvern abandoned the injured Earth Dragon and pursued the thief to a swamp, devastating the area with poisonous green dragon breath. 26

After exposing the Nether Ghost Frog with a massive beam attack, the Wyvern crushed it beneath a claw and struck the area with the Poison Fiend Death Ray. It recovered the Lingzhi and left, believing the frog dead. The mortally wounded Nether Ghost Frog instead survived long enough to sacrifice itself to Dugu Feng, who swore to avenge it. 27

Dugu Feng later identified the Wyvern as his intended seventh Soul Ring target, intending to fulfill his oath after reaching level 70. 35 By the time Dugu Feng arrived at the Wyvern’s Sulfur Volcano territory, he had prepared extensively for the hunt; the Wyvern returned to the volcano while Feng concealed himself and entered the magma pool. 41
