Background / History
Wang Ping originally served as an undercover agent for the Great Shun court within the White Lotus Sect. Recognizing the value of martial power in a world where casual attacks could shatter stone, he immediately accepted White Lotus leader Shouchong as his master while intending to preserve his court connections. The court later abandoned him, and he died violently before gaining the yamen position he had once sought. 2 8 74
After reviving in the Morgue, Wang Ping obtained the incomplete He Transformed into Freedom and Governed the Desire Realm Heavenly Scripture. It did not provide a complete immortal path, but he extracted the Desire Realm Heavenly Birth Method and chose to pursue martial arts in Great Shun instead. By spending all White Lotus fortune through the Scripture of Great Peace, he received a new identity as a constable from a Longxing County constable family. 8
His new body retained his original appearance in a younger form rather than possessing a stranger. Within half a month of entering the yamen, he developed Spirit Sense, perfected Yama’s Three Demon Blades, killed his senior brother Xie Shi, and gained a county-wide reputation as the Great Dragon Spear. 8 12 14 15
Wang Ping acquired Chen Haoyan’s martial inheritance after Chen’s death, reached External Arts Perfection, and used the hidden Sky Roc Dragon-Seizing Physique Diagram to become an Inner Force Martial Master. This victory exposed him to County Magistrate Xu Bingzheng, the hidden master behind the same Heavenly Roc system. 26 27 28
After fleeing Longxing County with Su Ya, Wang Ping returned to confront Xu Bingzheng. He apparently died in the battle after exposing Xu’s use of constable puppets and leaving him with a poisoned life-extending pill. His body vanished, allowing Su Ya to retain hope that he survived. 33 35
Wang Ping revived again and entered the Immortal Sect world as a prospective Force Servitor. Confirmed to lack a Variant Spiritual Root, he nevertheless gained access to the Six Desires Heaven Self-Mastery Method, created the Six Desires Primal Chaos Demon, and began Crossing Tribulations through a Defective Spiritual Root path. 36 37
Returning to Great Shun under the identity of a Golden Cavalry Guard, Wang Ping became supervising commissioner of the Black Armor Battalion. He reunited with Su Ya, mobilized the battalion against Longxing County, killed Xu Bingzheng with a single punch, and became the Weapon Ranking’s “Dragon Fist.” 45 48 54
His actions in Longxing County brought him into the Imperial Attendant Hall. He accepted the Thirteen Guardians’ Horizontal Training Hard Qi Art, gained Dragon’s recognition as a potential Martial Grandmaster, and later became one of the Hall’s most exceptional martial talents. 46 89
As his cultivation expanded beyond Great Shun, Wang Ping repeatedly used false identities, borrowed Fate through the Peace Scripture, and exploited conflicts among the Immortal Sect, Brahma Cultivators, rogue cultivators, and True Disciples. He manipulated Jin Hai into targeting Kun Yun, became entangled in Mingyou’s long-term plans, and eventually learned that he was being used as a crucial foundation for Mingyou’s Human Yin Fire Dao path. 103 150 290
Appearance
Wang Ping’s original appearance is that of a young man in his twenties. His cultivation has repeatedly altered his body, eventually making his physical form far from conventionally human. 8 96
- His Desire-Realm Celestial Body grants him an unusually powerful physique, including True Dragon Sinews and exceptional qi-and-blood potential. 12 14 17
- The Martial God Illustrated Manual reshapes him with hardened scales, reinforced bones and organs, altered neural systems, and a second heart. 96
- The Heaven-Bearing Immortal Body compresses his flesh, bones, tendons, and organs into an extraordinarily dense form capable of generating immense gravity. 300
- Thirteen Guardians’ Iron-Body Qigong lets him alter his face, age, gender, and physical traits; False Form later enables flawless transformations into animals, plants, and insects. 48 129 142
Personality
Wang Ping is intensely pragmatic. When orthodox immortality appeared inaccessible, he immediately redirected his ambitions toward martial arts; when martial power later proved insufficient, he returned to immortal cultivation without treating either path as sacred. 8 37
He is opportunistic, shameless when necessary, and exceptionally willing to deceive stronger opponents. He accepts dangerous masters, adopts fabricated identities, uses partial truths to recruit allies, and will publicly feign weakness when it improves his odds of victory. 2 115 150 321
Despite his self-interest, Wang Ping forms genuine attachments. He protects Su Ya rather than abandoning her after obtaining Chen Haoyan’s inheritance, saves Liu Ye from Xu Bingzheng’s control, and refuses to treat the people tied to him as disposable merely because he can resurrect. 26 31 33
His caution deepens as he learns how often higher cultivators manipulate him. By later arcs, he distrusts coincidences, hidden inheritances, masters, sects, and even his own obscured memories. 139 298 300
Abilities & Skills
Peace Scripture and Rebirth
Wang Ping’s defining advantage is his connection to the Peace Scripture and its Morgue-like space, which allows him to revive under new identities after death. His reincarnations can preserve selected cultivation and treasures, but not every form of cultivation carries over intact. 8 36 45 345
- Otherworldly Celestial Demon — exchanges accumulated fortune for new identities and social positions, such as constable, Golden Cavalry Guard, and Peach God Monastery’s “Little Immortal.” 8 45 184
- A Promise Worth a Thousand Gold — borrows the results of future cultivation or fulfilled promises; borrowed gains must later be repaid through genuine cultivation or are lost upon death. 36 37
- Invite the Gods to Descend — reconstructs consciousness fragments from corpses, weapons, and remnants, allowing figures such as Dragon to descend and guide Wang Ping’s cultivation. 96
- Plum for Peach — transfers all damage suffered by designated targets onto Wang Ping himself. 139
- Golden Sea Dries Up — extracts distracting thoughts and impurities from his Sea of Consciousness, improving clarity while storing the removed impurities as an attack. Repeated use drains Divine Sense. 298
Spirit Sense, Divine Intent, and Deity Possession
His Desire-Realm Celestial Body awakened Spirit Sense, letting him perceive emotions, inspect his body, identify weaknesses, and sense threats that ordinary martial perception misses. 8 12 14
- Spirit Sense allowed him to resist the corrupting blade intents of greed, wrath, and delusion, making the perfection of Yama’s Three Demon Blades possible. 12
- His Divine Intent emerged through Weapon Ranking fame and later transformed qualitatively, accelerating his movements and supporting his path toward Martial Grandmaster. 54 89
- Deity Possession lets Wang Ping employ recorded consciousnesses and their skills, including Xiaoxiang’s alchemy, Dragon’s martial insight, and the knowledge of several Loose Immortals. 96 141 190
- His later Heart Ape can reside within Divine Intent, though it cannot yet directly affect reality. 129
Martial Dao
Wang Ping combines extreme physical strength with weapon arts, body tempering, Divine Intent, and tactical deception. His Martial Dao increasingly functions as an independent path alongside immortal cultivation. 47 129 290
- Yama’s Three Demon Blades — perfected through Spirit Sense; incorporates greed, wrath, and delusion blade intents without corrupting Wang Ping’s mind. 12
- Cloud-Piercing Heaven-Shaking Bow — a mid-grade bow art mastered with Su Ya’s help; its higher techniques impose severe essence, energy, and spirit costs. 15 33
- Thirteen Guardians’ Iron-Body Qigong — body cultivation that can rival an immortal dharma body and grants comprehensive disguise-changing capabilities. 47 48
- Martial God Illustrated Manual — creates a personalized Inner Force physique by arranging forty-nine bodily diagrams according to the cultivator’s organs, meridians, and body. 96
- Heavenly Martial Profound-Conquering First Blade — Wang Ping’s ultimate Martial Dao strike, later strengthened by the Fourfold War Gods. 298
- Time-Stealing Thief — permits an overwhelming number of attacks within a brief instant, though stronger opponents can eventually respond to its temporal mysteries. 147 164
Immortal Cultivation and Dharma Power
Wang Ping first entered immortal cultivation through the desire-beast method, then later refined Hidden Dragon Vein-Walking Nether-Piercing Qi into Dharma Power. 37 142
- Six Desires Primal Chaos Demon — formed from six desire beasts; protects his true body from ordinary physical attacks and supplies Spirit-Communing Thought. 37
- Hibernating Concealment / Immortal-Burying Ground / Heavenly Secrets Lurking — conceals cultivation, aura, actions, karma, and portions of Fate from divination; stronger Dharma Power can penetrate it, and it cannot fully hide Fate. 147
- Earth-Bearing Myriad Gods Diagram — Wang Ping’s developing Great Divine Ability, based on governing a City God network, incense merit, and a spiritual map of the Great Shun capital. 182 199 205
- Divine Edict Talisman — the Diagram’s seed, formed from eight spells and capable of creating subordinate talismans for appointed deities. 199
- Tai Bai Immortal Physique — grants Nine-Breath Qi Assimilation, allowing Wang Ping to disperse into qi and recover by absorbing surrounding spiritual energy. 320
Spells
After attaining Dharma Power, Wang Ping perfected five principal spells. 142
- Qi Suppression — regulates internal qi, suppresses corrosive forces, heals injuries, and later becomes impervious to blades and spears. 14 28 142
- Soul Seizure — seizes the seven stellar souls; later functions passively through his eyes. 142
- Soul Pursuit — tracks the three spiritual souls; later functions passively through his eyes. 142
- False Form — reproduces living forms with complete internal and external accuracy; Wang Ping believes it may eventually imitate demon-clan bloodline abilities. 129 142
- Great Strength — grants immense physical power and removes the stamina limitation from his ultimate blade strike. 142 147
Equipment / Weapons / Items
- Demon-Subduing Victory Blade — Wang Ping’s personal Divine Weapon, reforged from the Dragon-Head Executioner with True Astral Force and Divine Intent. 147
- Six Directions Eternal-Suppression Cauldron — Celestial Craft Spirit Treasure that later acknowledges Wang Ping as master. Its major mysteries include Suppressing Halberd, Land Traverse, Heaven Watch, Profound Concealment, and Bearing Heaven. 300
