No matter where a mineral vein lay, it basically followed the same principles. That was, mineral veins tended to be relatively concentrated. Many small veins were merely branches of a large vein, extensions that stretched outward.

The vein Huo Hai had found here was the same. It was not the main vein at all, but a tiny branch of it. By digging inward from here, he could follow the branch and locate the main vein.

The Star Gu kept gnawing away. After a while, one Star Gu finally crawled out, opened its mouth, and began spitting out fine debris. It was hard to imagine that such a tiny body could swallow so much. Huo Hai even suspected that the species of insect he had chosen was naturally born with this trait.

The other insects Huo Hai had refined, even those he had experimented with refining, had never possessed such a terrifying appetite.

This was also the first time Huo Hai had truly seen a Star Gu fill up its own internal space. Once all the debris had been spat out, the spot where the Star Gu had been standing had accumulated into a small mountain of rubble.

If Huo Hai had relied on himself to excavate so much material, who knew how long it would have taken. Across the vast area nearby, aside from this location, he had not found another mineral vein.

It was easy to imagine that the Source Spirit Stone vein here was the same. It was concentrated in one area, and no similar spirit crystal veins would likely appear nearby afterward. After searching for most of the day, Huo Hai finally gave up searching and instead turned back, throwing all the Star Gu into the excavation. Source Spirit Stones were too hard for the Star Gu
