Once Wind Fox spoke, the other two shut their mouths. The commander of this army was not the two Demon Spirit Masters at the Spirit General Realm. Instead, it was Wind Fox, who had only just reached the Spirit Practitioner Realm.
Wind Fox himself was not even a Demon Spirit Master, but a former member of Windrise Kingdom's Imperial Family.
Yet unlike the Demon Spirit Masters, although Wind Fox was a member of the Imperial Family, his personal combat strength was not particularly impressive. His greatest strength lay in his intellect. When it came to commanding armies in battle, Demon Spirit Masters simply could not compare to him.
Even though Windrise Kingdom had ultimately been occupied by the Demon Spirit Masters, it was only because they had moved too quickly, leaving no one time to react. Back then, Wind Fox had caused those Demon Spirit Masters tremendous trouble. After they finally captured him, they offered him authority to lead troops and let him put his abilities to use, persuading him to join them.
To avoid Demonic Energy affecting his intelligence, Wind Fox had not even undergone Demonicization. In the entire Windrise Kingdom army, he was the only high-ranking figure who had not become a Demon Spirit Master yet still held a place among them.
After Windrise Kingdom was occupied, the original Imperial Family regretted it bitterly. The struggle for imperial power had kept Wind Fox from ever being properly valued. Otherwise, with Wind Fox's mind, how could the Demon Spirit Masters have so easily controlled the entire kingdom?
