Background

Qin Long was born into a minor swordsmanship family in the Yan Kingdom. After Grand General Yan Wuxu learned of her exceptional martial talent and beauty, one of his subordinate sects demanded that the Qin family surrender her. Her family refused and was massacred; Qin Long escaped only after being pursued to a cliff. 37

During her escape, Qin Long fell from the cliff and obtained the inheritance of a Heavenly Sun Mountain senior. The inheritance included records concerning Earthfire Hall, a jade control token for its formation, and the legacy of a Nascent Soul cultivator. Though she became a cultivator through this opportunity, she continued to identify more strongly as a martial-world heroine than as an immortal cultivator. 28 30 35
