Background and History

Pandora began as the final evolution of a predatory Flesh Flower in the Resident Evil World. After the flower consumed mutated zombies and the Corpse Demon Pill, its petals split apart to reveal a winged female corpse with a Corpse Demon Pill embedded in her chest. The blood-essence imprint within that pill created a faint sense of familiarity with Xiao Liang, but she retained humanlike intelligence, attacked him, and escaped from the stadium. 10 11

Xiao Liang pursued her with help from the Lighthouse Organization. As Pandora’s stored spiritual energy dwindled in the spiritually barren apocalypse, their connection strengthened enough for him to restrain her briefly. He ultimately persuaded her by offering his blood and the promise of further evolution, then completed her refinement inside a Black Hawk helicopter. The refinement brought Xiao Liang’s Spirit Zombie Refinement Method to minor mastery at significant cost to his mana and blood essence; he named her “Pandora” after a mythological beauty associated with calamity. 14 15

After returning to the Sky Mist Continent, Pandora rapidly adapted to its abundant spiritual energy and entered Qi Refining almost immediately. She became Xiao Liang’s principal combat asset during the exploration of Heavenly Sun Mountain’s ruins, providing flight, scouting, brute-force combat, and protection while he searched the abandoned sect. 16 26 28 29

Pandora later accompanied Xiao Liang and Qin Long during their assault on Yan Wuxu’s Grand General’s Manor. She operated the tank’s weaponry, fought Cha Ghosts without fear, repeatedly disrupted Yan Wuxu’s breakthrough, and continued fighting even after he tore off an arm and a wing. Her regeneration allowed her to recover enough to assist in the final bombardment that ended the battle. 39 43 47

Appearance

Pandora resembles a tall, exceptionally beautiful foreign woman, but her corpse nature is marked by blood-red eyes, pale bat-like wings, fangs, clawed gestures, and an icy spiritual aura. Her appearance combines an almost divine beauty with the threatening presence of a Flying Corpse. 11 17

She resists his attempts to control or deprive her of spiritual energy, but gradually accepts his promise that the Sky Mist Continent will allow her to evolve. 11 14 15

She becomes increasingly expressive and independent as her intelligence improves. Pandora dislikes being confined in storage bags, objects to wearing Xiao Liang’s robe, refuses to carry him on her back, and reacts immediately when he considers using her as a mount. 19 20 26
