After the mysterious blond man sealed Ogerpon away, Kitakami returned to its former peace.

During the disaster that day, most people had fainted, unable to withstand the spiritual power. Probably only a handful even knew what had happened. Fortunately, no one was killed or injured, so this incident went unrecorded in Kitakami's history.

Ogerpon was sealed inside a spatial rift in Kitakami. Having lost all the underlings it could order around, it could only live there alone. Out of boredom, it remodeled the place into Oni Mountain and made it its home.

However, even inside the spatial rift, the Teal Mask could draw certain creatures there along the flow of Tera Energy. They never entered the village, instead guarding the surrounding area.

In the blink of an eye, five hundred years passed...

The five-hundredth anniversary of Kitakami's founding was also the day Ogerpon's seal broke. Those five centuries had calmed its heart considerably, but its hatred had never faded.

Yet when it emerged, the people it hated had long since turned to dust. The little village that once housed fewer than a hundred people had prospered. The people of old were gone, and everything felt utterly unfamiliar.

Lost once more, it fully donned its mask again, became an ogre, and wrecked the celebration. It couldn't stand seeing these people live so happily, and it wanted to vent five hundred years of resentment. Though it hurt no one, the celebration was completely ruined.

But that was when its destined opponents finally appeared. Drawn there by the Teal Mask, Okidogi and the other two stopped it from destroying the village any further. Their abilities happened to counter its own perfectly.
