Little Nebula vs. Iron Serpent: A Message from the Professors

Electricity flickered wildly. Bolts spread through the falling rain as Miraidon slowly rose into the air. Its pixelated eyes stared straight at the radiant Sun Form above, bright as hope itself.

"Mirai!"

Its cry was low and cold, like an electronic sound. It was nothing like Xingye's Miraidon, which loved to call out "Cyclizar, Cyclizar." Iron Serpent might have been a more fitting name for it.

Little Nebula could not understand its cry, but it was fully prepared to fight.

After seeing Iron Serpent for herself, Lillie studied it for a moment and murmured calmly, "It looks even colder with its paint stripped off. More like an emotionless machine. But that purple metallic sheen really does suit Miraidon best!"

"Little Nebula, let's go!"

She waved and shouted. She had only just finished the Champion-level assessment and had used up a great deal of energy, but she had complete faith in herself and Little Nebula. Perhaps that was the confidence that came with reaching Champion level.

At her command, Little Nebula hurtled forward like a meteor. Iron Serpent did not move, as though it were calmly analyzing the situation.

Then the pixelated pupils in its lifeless eyes changed. At last, its body moved, and the lightning around it linked with the current coursing through the Electric Terrain.

Just as Little Nebula came crashing down with Sunsteel Strike, those currents shot out and formed an enormous Electroweb. It caught Little Nebula and sharply slowed the impact.

Seizing the opening, Iron Serpent drew up energy from within its body. Flames gathered in its mouth, then erupted point-blank. The roaring fire became a serpent that swallowed Little Nebula and Lillie whole!
