Inside the academy library, books of unknown age were stacked across the shelves, and beneath the dim lighting, everything seemed unnaturally quiet.
Xingye had not accompanied Lillie to the Pokémon Center. Instead, Psyduck had called him here, and he followed behind it as it wandered in circles through the library.
Psyduck walked all the way to a bookshelf at the very back and stopped. Then it slowly raised an arm, releasing a burst of psychic power. The entire bookshelf began to tremble and sink downward...

"Huh?"
Hearing that somewhat shrill voice, Xingye froze for a moment before realizing Psyduck was speaking. Yet it still wore that utterly vacant expression, impossible for anyone to read. The contrast was incredibly strong.
"Duck Teacher, you can talk?"
"Is that really something worth caring about? You must have seen quite a few Pokémon that can talk, haven't you?"
"..."
"Kid, I didn't bring you here to joke around or make small talk. Listen carefully to me!"
Psyduck maintained the same expression, but it scolded him
