"Doro (Klee seemed to have gone looking for something.)"
Doro raised her little hand. She seemed to have spotted Klee just now, and Klee appeared to be busy with something.
"Looking for something? Don't tell me she went looking for food. It is about time to eat."
"Let's go find Klee and have dinner."
Qin Qi glanced at the sun outside. It was nearly setting, so it was time to eat.
Everyone went outside to look for Klee.
"Klee! Klee!"
Everyone called out Klee's name.
"Klee's over here!"
Klee hurried over, holding a Small Jumpy Dumpty in her hand.
"Ah!"
Qin Qi looked at Klee, his expression shifting from a smile to stiffness, before his eyes widened.
"Jumpy Dumpty!"
Qin Qi remembered giving all the bombs and materials to the Snow Empress.
Where had Klee gotten another Jumpy Dumpty?
"Hehehe, Brother Qin Qi, look! Klee just gathered materials and made this."
"You... look... ah."
Klee ran toward Qin Qi, but she was going too fast and tripped over flat ground.
The bomb in her hand flew out as well.
"Holy—shit!"
Qin Qi hurriedly hugged Gugu Gaga and Doro, then threw himself to the ground at the fastest speed of his life.
Bang!
The Jumpy Dumpty struck the wall, and an explosion immediately erupted.
"My new house... is fine?"
Qin Qi hurriedly got up, ready to wail in grief, but when he turned around, his new house was fine.
There was not even the slightest damage.
"I-Beam Guga is amazing! The construction quality is insane!"
"It actually withstood a Jumpy Dumpty without a scratch!"
Qin Qi hurried forward and touched the wall, giving it a few knocks. Once he confirmed it was fine, an astonished expression appeared on his face.
"Guga (The house is fine. The house is amazing!)"
"Doro (The house is great.)"
Doro and Guga stepped forward to touch the wall, then praised it.
"It was nothing more than a little wind and frost."
Xianyun stood proudly in place, looking utterly calm. It was merely a small explosion—how could it possibly disturb an adeptus like her?
"Hehehe, sorry, Brother Qin Qi. Klee accidentally fell down."
"But Klee's okay. Klee didn't cry."
Klee climbed up from the ground herself, patted the dirt off her body, then scratched her head and smiled.
"You didn't cry, but I almost did!"
"You little troublemaker, you were out of bombs and materials. How did you make another Jumpy Dumpty?"
Qin Qi walked over to Klee irritably, pinched her little cheek, and spoke.
"Klee gathered materials nearby and made it. Klee's amazing, right?"
Klee wore a proud little expression as she spoke.
"Amazing. You're really amazing. You're grounded tonight!"
Qin Qi said angrily.
Though he was angry, he had to admit that Klee was truly a genius when it came to bombs.
She had managed to gather enough materials in this tiny village to make a Jumpy Dumpty so quickly.
She truly was a bomb-making devil child chosen by fate!
"No!"
Klee immediately put on a pitiful, teary-eyed expression, trying to get through this by acting cute.
"Acting cute? Are you cuter than them?"
Qin Qi pointed at Guga and Doro.
"Guga."
"Doro!"
Guga and Doro cupped their cheeks in both hands and struck adorable poses.
"Mm, no!"
Klee wore an expression that said she had lost.
"Alright, it's almost time to eat. We'll let the grounding slide this time."
"But you're not allowed to do anything this dangerous again. Otherwise, you'll definitely be grounded!"
Qin Qi rubbed Klee's head, a helpless smile appearing on his face as he spoke.
"Yay! Brother Qin Qi is such a good person!"
Klee immediately jumped up happily, threw her arms around Qin Qi, and shouted.
"Sigh."
Qin Qi shook his head. What could he do? He was just too softhearted. Alright, time to eat.
Everyone sat in a row on the second-floor balcony, eating Oranges and Cookies.
They looked up at the sky together.
"Brother Qin Qi, there's nothing in the pitch-black sky. Why are we staring at it?"
Klee held an Orange in both hands, looked at the dark sky, and asked.
"It's about the atmosphere. Enjoy the atmosphere. Look, Fairy Chicken is deeply absorbed in it."
Qin Qi had originally planned to admire the moon or watch the stars, but he had not expected it to be cloudy.
But saying that out loud would have been far too embarrassing, so they could only be appreciating the atmosphere.
"Doro."
Doro walked over to Xianyun and poked her wing.
Xianyun did not react.
She poked her again.
Still no reaction.
"Doro (Confirmed. She fell asleep.)"
Doro shrugged, spread her hands, and sighed like Qin Qi.
"The atmosphere... Klee understands. Klee will work hard to enjoy it!"
Klee looked at the sky, trying hard to feel that so-called atmosphere, but the longer she did, the sleepier she became.
Before long, she leaned against Qin Qi and fell asleep.
"Guguga (That's my Cookie!)"
Guga lay across Qin Qi's lap and started talking in her sleep.
"Doro, Orange!"
Doro lay on Qin Qi's head and began dozing off as well.
The night was very quiet, and the sky was pitch-black, but Qin Qi did not feel lonely.
At that moment, he felt an unprecedented warmth. He even began humming a song without realizing it.
"The stars in the sky blink their eyes, and your smile is so serene."
Accompanied by the song, Qin Qi held everyone in his arms and gradually fell asleep as well.
The night became completely silent.
The next morning, Xianyun prepared to leave.
"Fairy Chicken, won't you stay a few more days?"
Qin Qi looked at Xianyun in her human form and spoke with some reluctance.
"No. The furniture is finished, and this adeptus must embark on the path of researching mechanisms."
"But don't worry. This adeptus will keep in touch with you often."
"Alright, I'm leaving. Don't miss this adeptus too much."
As Xianyun spoke, she started walking north.
"Fairy Chicken, you're going the wrong way. The city is this way."
Qin Qi reached out and grabbed Xianyun, speaking as he did.
"Oh, is that so? This adeptus nearly got it wrong. Very well, this adeptus is leaving again."
Xianyun adjusted her direction and left. She wanted to visit the city and study the mechanisms of this world.
"Fairy Chicken, take care on the road."
"This world is dangerous. Be careful."
"Guga, Guga (Bye-bye.)"
"Doro (Remember to eat Oranges when you're sad. Once you eat them, you won't be sad anymore.)"
"Bye-bye, Auntie Fairy Chicken."
Everyone waved farewell to Fairy Chicken, only stopping once her figure had completely disappeared.
"Whew. Alright, let's go back and keep tending the fields."
Qin Qi turned around, ready to get back to work in the farmland, but just as he did, he suddenly heard a familiar voice.
"Sorry, I forgot to give you the little toy you asked me to make earlier."
Xianyun had returned. She took out a snowman-shaped toy and handed it to Qin Qi, then turned around and left once more.
"This..."
"Brother Qin Qi, do we need to wave goodbye again?"
Klee looked at Qin Qi blankly and asked.
"Wave. Since we're seeing her off, we have to see it through to the end."
Qin Qi looked at the toy in his hand, then at Xianyun's retreating back. Everyone raised their hands and said goodbye again.
They waved until their arms were utterly exhausted before Xianyun's figure finally disappeared, allowing them to rest.
"Whew. We can't go to the fields now. Guga, Doro, let's make another trip to the Far North."
"I'm going to give the Snow Empress a gift."
Qin Qi shook the snowman in his hand. He had asked Xianyun to make it as a gift for the Snow Empress.
It was a token of thanks for the Snow Empress helping them last time.
"Guga."
"Doro."
Guga and Doro nodded to show that they understood.
