• A Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Beast is guaranteed to leave behind a Soul Bone upon death 16.
• Bloodline origin is the foundation of a Soul Beast’s innate abilities. Merely copying a beast’s body cannot reproduce its racial powers without its corresponding bloodline 66.
• Most Soul Beasts cannot speak human language until reaching one hundred thousand years of cultivation; Sun Wukong is an exception due to his reincarnated human consciousness and unusually human-like Innate Spirit Monkey form 2.

Innate abilities

Soul Beast abilities vary by species, bloodline, and individual cultivation. Their innate powers may include poison, petrification, fate manipulation, elemental control, or physical transformations.

• The Three-Eyed Golden Lion possesses fate-related power as the Imperial Auspicious Beast, a rare being that benefits nearby Soul Beasts’ cultivation and breakthroughs 10.
• An Imperial Auspicious Beast does not advance through training; its cultivation grows with age, while its actual combat ability exceeds its apparent cultivation age 10.
• Soul Beasts connected to fortune, such as Sun Wukong, are not necessarily Imperial Auspicious Beasts despite possessing similar auras 10.

Transformation

At one hundred thousand years, a Soul Beast may abandon its beast body and become human in pursuit of a different route to power. This path is dangerous, but it is regarded as a possible means for Soul Beasts to seek godhood after the beast race’s direct path was severed 8 16.

• Transformation destroys the Soul Core and uses its released creative energy to remake the Soul Beast into a human body 16.
• The transformed individual must cultivate anew as a human Soul Master 8 18.
• Transforming Soul Beasts cannot absorb external Soul Rings or Soul Bones; they can only condense Soul Rings from their own origin 18 19.
