Little Succubus

"What is this?"

An Abyssal Succubus—no, more accurately, an Abyssal Little Succubus. A little thing that hadn't reached adulthood yet.

At that moment, the little thing was hiding in a tree, covering her face and sobbing tearfully, her cheeks streaked with tears. Below the tree, three Velociraptors were staring hungrily at her, not relaxing for even a moment.

"Boohoo, Mama, Big Sister, where are you? Where did everyone go? Only Lulu is left. Lulu's so scared!"

Watching the Velociraptors constantly jumping upward below her, the little thing grew even more frightened and squeezed her eyes shut. "Boohoo, Mama, Lulu's so hungry. Lulu's so scared!"

Looking at the little thing trembling in terror and crying without moving atop the tree, Er Dongsheng frowned.

In the Abyss, Succubi were an Abyssal Species known to everyone. Succubi themselves were not particularly powerful. As an Abyssal Species, they had nothing especially outstanding about them: their attacks were weak, and their defenses frail.

Yet this Abyssal Species was extremely famous in the Abyss. First, the species was incredibly beautiful, especially beloved by the humanoid Abyss Demons. Second, it was a communal race with tremendous intelligence, possessing wisdom comparable to that of the Abyssal Foxfolk. Everyone knew that no matter the plane, foxfolk were symbols of wisdom. From that alone, one could imagine how clever the Abyssal Succubus clan was.

Abyssal Succubi, Abyssal Fairies, Abyssal Foxfolk, and Abyssal Medusae—these were several of the more famous communal races in the Abyss.

Each of these races' settlements had at least dozens of people. Larger settlements might even have hundreds or thousands. Moreover, the settlements either had their own Abyss Demons or had pledged themselves to a powerful Abyss Demon. Thus, ordinary Abyssal Species rarely provoked these communal races. It simply wasn't worth the loss.

"Still, there's actually an Abyssal Succubus wandering out here alone—and an underage Little Succubus at that. How interesting!" Looking at the little thing who was already trembling in terror, Er Dongsheng estimated that it wouldn't be long before this exhausted and starving Little Succubus fell from the tree and became a meal for some other animal.

Er Dongsheng planned to rescue the little thing and, if possible, adopt her. After all, three years had passed, and living alone was far too lonely.

"Perfect. I'll use three male Velociraptors to test my current combat strength!" Er Dongsheng backed up several steps, dug a hole in the ground, hid the Tutu Beast inside, and then walked straight toward the Velociraptors.

Since he wanted to test the results of his cultivation, it wouldn't do to launch a sneak attack. Otherwise, he would never be able to gauge his true combat strength.

"Crack, crack."

Stepping on the thick layer of fallen leaves, his tail swaying behind him at a length of over a meter, Er Dongsheng entered the battlefield with a calm expression.

The three Velociraptors had stopped jumping and were now staring together at Er Dongsheng, this uninvited guest who had appeared out of nowhere.

"Yip~"

The Velociraptors each cried out once, then began slowly advancing toward Er Dongsheng together. These low-intelligence creatures probably thought victory was assured. One of them did not even bother testing him and simply leaped straight into an attack.

"Whoosh!"

Er Dongsheng instantly abandoned his previous leisurely state and erupted with powerful speed. In the blink of an eye, he leaped above the first charging Velociraptor.

Then, he clenched both fists. His bent arms suddenly straightened.

"Go to hell! Lion Heavy Cannon!"

"Bang!"

"Boom!"

With two sounds in succession, the Velociraptor that had been soaring high into the air a moment ago crashed heavily into the ground the next—and lay there motionless, dead!

"Eek!"

The remaining two Velociraptors were completely dumbfounded. They stared blankly at the corpse on the ground, unable to understand. Their tiny skulls couldn't comprehend how their companion, so mighty just moments ago, had suddenly died.

Er Dongsheng didn't care what they were thinking. Strike while the iron was hot and finish them off. There was no room for mercy in the Abyss.

He turned around and stomped heavily on the ground.

"Boom~"

Dust flew in every direction. Using the recoil, Er Dongsheng closed the distance to the two Velociraptors that were still standing there in a daze.

Seeing Er Dongsheng charging toward them at high speed, the two Velociraptors hurriedly retreated several steps together.

"It's useless. Just obediently accept your deaths!"

He twisted his body, spun, and slammed one hand heavily into the ground. Then he flipped backward through the air, continuing to rapidly close in on the retreating Velociraptor.

"Heavy Cannon: Aerial Leg Style!"

"Boom~" Smoke billowed as dust scattered in all directions.

Borrowing the force of his rotation and the momentum of his descent, Er Dongsheng smashed one leg heavily into one of the Velociraptors. In an instant, the Velociraptor—larger even than Er Dongsheng—was torn into pieces.

As the smoke cleared, a huge crater appeared beneath Er Dongsheng's foot. Even he had not expected his current striking power to be so formidable.

"Yip..."

The remaining Velociraptor tucked its tail between its legs and fled!

Looking at the Velociraptor running away, Er Dongsheng did not bother with it. He could already feel how powerful he was now. These prey no longer merited his attention.

"Looks like I need to find some even stronger species to test my combat strength!"

"Speed, strength, agility, instantaneous bursts, and so on—I've completely surpassed my former self in every aspect. I might even be stronger than my master. On top of that, there's the formidable recovery ability of a demon's body. I can finally say that I have the strength to establish a foothold in this perilous Abyss!" At that moment, the Little Succubus in the tree stared wide-eyed as Er Dongsheng, with a force that swept everything before it, instantly tore apart two powerful male Velociraptors and even frightened another one into fleeing!

The little thing's mouth fell open in shock. She looked utterly dazed and unbelievably adorable!

"Pfft!"

Er Dongsheng happened to turn around and see the astonished look on the Little Succubus's face. He suddenly laughed, shook his head, and walked toward her.

"What? Aren't you coming down yet?"
